Left Hand Ambidextrous: A Beer & A New Series

Left Hand Brewing AmbidextrousLeft Hand Brewing‘s Ambidextrous has started hitting taps around the U.S.   What is it?  Well, it’s more than a beer, it’s a series.  Left Hand will be different editions of Ambidextrous this year.  The brewery received keg approval for the ale last last year.  The name will stay the same, but the beer of course will repeatedly change.  Some of you have already seen #1, Imperial Milk Porter.  It already  sounds sexy.

Ambi #1 is a blend of different Left Hand beers.  It  breaks down like this:

Widdershins Barleywine (aged in Colorado whiskey)
Milk Stout
Wake Up Dead (Regular edition)

plus a little bit of coffee.

Imperial Milk Stout weighs out at around 9% ABV.

Availability: Draft only, available now.

Left Hand Continues Rolling Out Nitro Bottles

Left Hand Brewing continues to rollout Nitro Milk Stout bottles this year.  The first markets have been around Colorado of course.  They have released dates for the next market rollouts.  Back in October at GABF, Left Hand officially introduced the world to Milk Stout in nitro bottles for the first time.  These bottles are a first among craft brewers.  Milk Stout is Left Hand’s #1 selling beer.

Haven’t seen these bottles at work yet, here’s a demonstration by Chris in the Left Hand tap room:

Left Hand Officially Debuts Milk Stout Nitro

Anyone who has ever had it knows that the only way to make Left Hand Brewing’s Milk Stout better is to have it on nitro tap.

Now you will be able to have that creamy deliciousness in a bottle… similar to Guinness nitro bottles you’ve seen around the world.

Left Hand will be the first American craft brewery to do such a thing and it will be debuted tonight at its release party just in time for the kick off of GABF in Colorado.

Left Hand Milk Stout is a full-bodied sweet stout that comes in at 6% ABV.  It is made with Pale 2-row, Munich, and Crystal malts; roasted barley; flaked oats; flaked barley; chocolate; and Magnum & US Goldings hops.
