Foothills Brewing’s (Winston-Salem, NC) brewpub supplies 4 states and brews 8,000 barrels a year. Their new offsite production facility (coming soon) will quadruple that capacity – close to 32,000 barrels. The brewpub will become more of an experimental facility. [Fox8]

Duck Rabbit, Olde Hickory, and Foothills each contributed wort from their imperial stouts, then aged it in Pappy Van Winkle barrels. Honey and cocoa nibs are then added for a flavor enhancement.
Bottles will be $20 dollars each, on sale at Foothills at 10 am. 10/8/12

It will however, be the first time that Foothill’s Brewing will have released it in bottles. BBL Aged People’s Porter has been available on tap at various releases, include Olde Rabbit’s Foot, & Barrel Aged Sexual Chocolate. The base beer is of course People’s Porter, a robust English style porter with notes of unsweetened chocolate and espresso.
People’s Porter aged in 20 year old bourbon barrels. This gold medal winning robust porter has a dark, ruby hue, and complex chocolate, caramel and toffee notes. The bourbon barrels add a vanilla, bourbon character that is unmistakable. We hope you enjoy.

For those of you new to our beer, the Sexual Chocolate is a Russian Imperial Stout infused with organic cocoa nibs. Opaque black in color, it offers notes of espresso, blackstrap molasses, toffee, and dark fruits that mask an alcohol content approaching ten percent.
There is a barrel aged release that comes later in the year.
UPDATE: 1/27 – Keg Release. 1/28 – Early AM, bottles.
