Boulevard Brewing Co. (Kansas City, MO) is working on a new offering featuring the lovable grape, Entwined Grape Ale.

Entwined Ale joins a presumably new Backroads brewed with grape juice, and two row barley. It reminds me of Dogfish Head 61 Minute. (IPA with the addition of grape must.)

A series of journeys off the beaten path, our Backroads beers offer the chance at a bit of adventure, for both brewer and drinker. Let’s all go.

The Jeremy Danner Video Series Returns with Chocolate Ale

Rumor has it Michael Bay directed this video to be used in Transformers 4. Brewer Jeremy Danner did all his stunts, used all real goats. The explosions are incredibly real. Oh yeah, and Chocolate Ale.

Boulevard Rye-On-Rye 2014 Ships

It’s a cold January out there. Boulevard Brewing (Kansas City, MO) has a beer to help you warm up a bit.

Kicking off the the year with the first release in their Smokestack Series is Rye-On-Rye. The base beer a rye beer, aged in Templeton Rye barrels.

Why not brew a rich, tawny rye ale, then mellow it in the warmth of charred oak rye whiskey casks? Two kinds of malted rye provide spicy sweetness, giving way to notes of caramelized wood and the citrusy tang of Citra and Ahtanum hops before easing into a dry, lingering finish.

Style: Rye Beer (w/ Brown Sugar, Dextrose. Barrel Aged. Whiskey)
Hops: Magnum, Citra, Styrian Golding, Athanum
Malt: Pale Malt, Malted Rye, Munich, Cara 50, Crystal Rye

Boulevard on Barrel Aged Imperial Stout [VIDEO]

Boulevard Brewing (Kansas City, MO) is on the cusp of releasing another round of Imperial Stout in their Smokestack Series.

Imperial Stout rounds out the Smokestack Series release calendar. This big 11.8% ABV imperial stout is a blend of whiskey barrel aged and fresh beer. Nuance is everything in craft beer. Just ask brewer superstar Jeremy Danner.
