New Allagash Saison Ships

Allagash Brewing (Portland, ME) has a new year round offering that is headed to shelves now – Allagash Saison.

Draft has been slowing making its way into markets since February, but 12oz/4 packs have now left the brewery.

…our interpretation of a classic Belgian farmhouse style. It is a golden hued beer, brewed with a 2-Row blend, malted rye, oats and dark Belgian candi sugar. It was hopped with Tettnang, Bravo and Cascade hops. Fermented with a traditional saison yeast strain, this beer exhibits notes of spice and tropical fruit in the aroma. Citrus and a peppery spice dominate the flavor and make way for a pleasant malt character.

Style: Saison (w/ Candi Sugar)
Availability: 12oz Bottles, Draft. Year round
Arrival: Late March, 2014

6.1% ABV

Allagash Midnight Brett Has Bottle Potential

A limited batch of Allagash Merveilleux has been hitting shelves across the brewery’s markets. Hopefully Midnight Brett Ale will do the same.

Flavor:  “The finished beer has the aroma and flavor of fresh berries, sour cherries and a slight roasted character. The finish is pleasantly tart and fruity making this beer very drinkable.”

If Midnight Brett hits distribution, it would join FV 13 and Merveilleux in 12.7 oz bottle limited releases in 2013.

Style: American Wild Ale
Hops: Perle, Glacier Simcoe
Malts: Midnight Wheat, Rye, Raw Wheat

Availability: Draft (Current), 12.7oz bottles (Planning)
