Boulevard Signs On With KC Royals And Kauffman Stadium

It’s your lucky day Royals fans.  Starting at this Friday’s home opener against the Cleveland Indians, Boulevard’s beers will no longer be in the shadows of big beer giants Anheuser-Busch and MillerCoors at Kauffman Stadium.  A three year agreement between the stadium and the brewery not only allows fans in the stands to purchase Boulevard brews, but there will also be a pub inside the stadium behind home plate.  The pub will be accessible to Diamond Club patrons and will serve six of the brewery’s brews.

One change that is sure to be noticed by many is the huge 9 by 18 foot diamond shaped Boulevard sign that will go on the Hall of Fame building.  There will also be two Boulevard grills in left field that will offer both food and beer.

Another part of the agreement is with Aramark, who handles the stadium’s concessions, to allow Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat Beer to be sold in the stands by people with backpack mounted kegs.  Um, yes please!  [Boulevard Brewing Co]
