Bluegrass Brewing Hires Dogfish Head Brewer
Bluegrass Brewing Company, Louisville, KY, has taken a step in the right direction when trying to revitalize their company. They have recently hired Jeremy Hunt, former head brewer at Dogfish Head Brewery, Milton, DE. Hunt has an impressive brewing resume including Mercury Brewing Company and Red Hook Brewing where he spent time prior to his last three years at Dogfish.
Jeremy left Dogfish Head in hopes to get back to the creativity of the beer. He enjoyed his time working for “mad scientist” Sam Calagione, but feels that he will have more opportunity to be creative with the brewing process at a smaller operation like Bluegrass Brewing. He would like to focus on food and beer pairings as well as barrell aging. Jeremy’s first day will be 11/1/11.
