Bayou Teche Biere Shipping to Georgia in May

Bayou Teche Biere (Arnaudville, LA) will start shipping to Georgia on May 6.  Two brothers converted an old railroad car into farmhouse brewery back in 2009.  They have been growing in the south ever since. Atlanta Beverage and Eagle Rock will be distributing the line up.

The launch lineup includes:

Biere Pale:  Traditionally brewed, we classify it as a Biere Pale, or Louisiana Pale Ale.  It is bronze colored with a biscuity malt center, herbal hop flavors and a gentle, mellow bitterness.  Available in 1/6 bbl’s and 1/2bbl’s.

Boucanne:  LA 31 Boucanne is our acknowledgment of the importance of the wild cherry tree to south Louisiana. Using cherry-wood smoked wheat we craft surprisingly delicious and unique ale. At the brewery, its often paired with chicken and sausage gumbo, barbeque, sausage po-boys, and grilled hamburgers.  Available in 1/6 bbl’s & 1/2 bbl’s.

Passionne: A wheat beer, which is brewed to quench Acadiana’s warm weather thirsts.  The ale is the color of a South Louisiana sun, and pours with the bright citrus flavor of passion fruit. Available in 1/2 bbls.

Acadie:  Just as the French proudly brew their traditional ale, as descendants of survivors of Le Grand Dérangement we brew an artisanal version we call Acadie – in memory of our Acadian homeland.Acadie is a summer/fall seasonal and approaches 6% ABV, with an IBU of 20.  Available in 1/6 bbl’s.

Bayou Teche Biere’s brews are currently available in Louisana, Mississippi. Alabama, and Florida.

Update Summer, 2013: Manhattan/Long Island, New York

  1. Very unimpressive–have tried them all multiple times in NOLA over the last 2 years. They tend to be pretty nondistinct without much flavor. Disappointing.
