Bam Boozle Benefits BAM

Brooklyn Brewing celebrates the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) with Bam Boozle Ale.  The Academy opened its doors in 1861, remaining completely non-profit for the past 150 years.  In 2008, BAM celebrated a record breaking attendance550,000 indivduals.   The Academy relies completely on contributions to operate.  A portion of the proceeds from each case of Bam Boozle Ale sold will benefit BAM.

Label:
No, we are not foolin’ around. We have brewed a unique new beer commemorating the 150th anniversary of the Brooklyn Academy of Music. BAM, the oldest performing arts center in the country, started attracting audiences to Brooklyn before the Brooklyn Bridge was even open. Such historic figures as Frederick Douglass, Mark Twain, P.T. Barnum, & Sarah Bernhardt have all appeared on its stages. Today, Brooklyn Academy of Music has established itself as the preeminent home for adventurous artists, audiences, and ideas, from around the globe and around the block. As a devout supporter and patron of BAM, I applaud that kind of commitment. Brooklyn Brewery will donate a portion of the proceeds to BAM from each case sold. Please join us in toasting BAM, a special treasure and a true Brooklyn original. — Steve Hindy, Co-founder and President
