Another Jailhouse Conjugal Visit

Jailhouse Brewing (Hampton, GA) has released another round of Conjugal Visit, a red ale.

When the brewery originally released Conjugal Visit, they wanted a lower abv beer with a complex hop & malt characteristic. (Flavorful, without being boozy.)  However, with the weighing demand of the year round beers, especially Slammer Wheat in the summer, Conjugal Visit had to be shifted to the winter. It’s cold in the Jailhouse (just as it is pretty much everywhere) so the brewing team bumped up the ABV to 8%.

Personally, the little extra heat is really what this beer needed. Available in Georgia for a limited time on draft and 22oz bombers.

A Beer Street Journal Video is coming soon on this returning ginger….
