The Pennsylvania based brewer adds a new year-round stout a February winds down.
Tröegs Night Gazer Extra Stout is a new release that has been added to the brewery’s permanent year-round lineup, joining fan favorites Perpetual IPA, Troegenator, and Graffiti Highway IPA.
Built on a complex malt bill of pale, dark, and specialty malts rounded out with flaked oats, Night Gazer touts flavors of roasted coffee, cocoa, and toffee. The hop bill includes Columbus and Simcoe, fermented with Troeg’s house ale yeast.
“We’ve always been mindful about offering a diversity of styles in our year-round lineup,” said Tröegs co-founder and brewmaster John Trogner. “Night Gazer brings something new and delicious for dark beer lovers.”
Trogner noted the beer has deep roots in the brewery’s history. “We’ve been brewing stouts for as long as Tröegs has been around, and Night Gazer is based on some of our favorite early recipes.”
The extra stout clocks in at 7.1% ABV. Originally available only at the brewery, Night Gazer Extra Stout is officially available on draft and 12-ounce bottles across Tröegs’ full distribution footprint.
