Wicked Weed Brewing recently purchased 85 lbs of fresh hops from OBJoyful hop farm in South Asheville. These ‘wet hops’ will kick off a series of fresh hop beers that will debut on August 1st. The brewery is literally going from hop farm to kettle the same day.
Walt Dickinson, head of brewing operations for Wicked Weed, says its a good thing they aren’t distributing right now. It gives them the freedom to brew when the hops are ready. The pictures below are from yesterday’s hop harvest. [Press]
