In case you missed it, here are some geek info about the 2011 tree:

Pinus longaeva is known as the Great Basin Bristlecone Pine tree.  The tree is found in the southwestern part of the United States, and has quite a long life span.  Methuselah, one of the members of this species is thought to be the oldest living non-clonal organism on planet earth.

Fireside Chat is a subtle twist on the traditional seasonal brew. We begin with a rich, dark ruby brown, English-style ale and then improvise with spices until we know we have a beer worth sharing with the nation. During Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s, Fireside Chat will brighten the faces of those who enjoy it, near the hearth or at the table. Its subtle blend of spices balances the 7.9% alcohol by volume malty ale and will make this a foodie’s favorite, as it pairs perfectly with holiday meals.

We mashed up traditional English Barleywine-style and Old Ale winter warmer style ales with citrusy American hops like Simcoe, Centennial, Columbus, Chinook, Amarillo and fittingly, Glacier, to create a Floridian Winter Ale.  

Style: Winter Warmer (blended beer)
Availability: 750ml bottles. Draft at the tap room
Arrival: Early 2012

A rich-bodied brown ale sets the stage for holiday flavors which dance a festive ballet highlighted by pirouetting leaps of Christmas inspired spices. Cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, rose hips and chamomile compliment the subtle chocolate and light coffee notes of the malt and the addition of roasted carob and chicory complete the performance.
