Avondale Brewing (Birmingham, AL) has announced that they will be releasing bottles in the very near future. Among them – Vanillaphant Porter Ale.

The Vanillaphant is a superb porter ale with vanilla, a beer which is surprisingly light bodied for its robust flavor. It resembles the chocolate and roasted nut flavors that you would expect in a porter but with a special vanilla twist at the end.We use the world’s finest hand-selected vanilla beans from the bourbon islands of Madagascar in our recipe. The malty and vanilla sweetness are perfectly balanced with hoppy bitterness. Wrap your trunk around a glass of this ale!

Update: Ska Vernal Minthe Cans Hit 3/20

Ska Minthe Stout

Ska Brewing will release the third edition in their  Seasonal Stout series: Vernal Minthe Stout on Wednesday. The stout brewed with peppermint, spearmint, cocoa and vanilla beans. The beer will hit shelves on March 20th, the date of the spring equinox.

“Spring is a good time to brew up a reward for making it through winter, said Ska Overlord of Brewing Operations Bill Graham. “The Vernal Minthe Stout is a treat: sweet, but with great roasted and chocolate notes for balance–and a peppermint note that reminds me of spring. I bet I’m not the only one who could use a reward about now.”

Look for the next announcement in June, corresponding with the Summer Equinox.

Troeg’s First Infuz-o-Matic Creation – Scratch 88

The first beer to be infused using Tröeg’s Brewing’s (Hershey, PA)  “Infüz-O-Matic” will be Scratch #88. Slated to launch just in time for Valentine’s Day, this stout will be infused with 4lbs of cocoa nibs, 2 lbs of cocoa posder, 30 vanilla beans and copious amounts of hops per barrel.

Those little helpers at Fat Heads Brewery (Middleburg Heights, OH) will release Oompa Loompa Chocolate Cream Stout.  You can probably guess – this scrumdiddilyumptious beers is brewed with Belgian dark chocolate and Madagascar Vanilla Beans. Pleasing to those with both a sweet tooth, and a booze tooth. (Is that a thing?)

Oompa Loompa Chocolate Cream Stout is the golden ticket to luscious indulgence.
