Burnt Hickory Courageous Conductor will soon expand the Kennesaw, Georgia brewery’s bottle lineup.

Burnt Hickory Courageous Conductor is a red velvet cake porter. Brewed with raspberry, cherry and vanilla.

On the morning of April 12, 1862, Union spies absconded with the loyal stem engine The General. It was an easy heist. What they didn’t count on was the locomotive’s courageous conductor, William Fuller. On foot, he chased down his stolen engine and got it back.This beer is dedicated to his persistence and his moxie.

Burnt Hickory Courageous Conductor is a 22oz bottle release. Previously released on draft.

Style: Imperial Porter (w/ Raspberry, Cherry, Vanilla.)

Members of The Bruery’s Reserve and Hoarder’s Society have access. Bruery Melange 12 is available in 750ml bottles.

Westbrook Mexican Cake Hits Shelves Again

Westbrook Brewing (Mt. Pleasant, SC) has a hit on their hands with Mexican Cake – their first anniversary beer first released in May, 2012. The imperial stout is aged with cocoa nibs, vanilla beans, cinnamon sticks, and habanero peppers.

People couldn’t get enough of it, so Westbrook brought it back in 2013, alongside some barrel aged offerings.

Here in May, 2015, Westbrook Mexican Cake is in distribution, quietly (or not so quietly) hitting shelves where the brewery distributes. This is your official heads up.
