Asheville Brewing Ninjabread Man returns, with recipes in tow

Asheville Brewing Ninjabread Man returns for a second year on October 31st. This beer is a seasonal spin on the fan favorite Ninja Porter.

Asheville Brewing Ninjabread Man is created using a concoction of vanilla beans, toasted cinnamon sticks, raisins, and caramelized ginger. The result is a liquid gingerbread cookie.

“People have been asking when it’s coming back for months. We feel it’s a perfect beer for cooler holiday weather. And your bread man makes delicious dessert beer or complements of a savory meal, whether it’s turkey or tofu.” Co-head Brewer Pete Langheinrich

Asheville Brewing Ninjabread Man will be available in 22 ounce bottles to-go from the brewery in Asheville, with limited distribution to follow.

Brewer’s Alley Oh My Gourd! bottled for the first time

Brewer’s Alley Oh My Gourd! Spiced Ale has been bottled for the first time. Recently the Frederick, Maryland based brewery expanded their production space to Monocacy Brewing, which allowed space to bottle.

Brewer’s Alley Oh My Gourd! is brewed with locally grown butternut squash, vanilla beans, and spices. The brewery notes this beer has favors of warm pumpkin pie crust.

Brewed with more than 500 pounds of locally grown butternut squash and beautifully spiced, Oh My Gourd! Pumpkin Ale is a wonderful addition to this festive season.

Brewer’s Alley Oh My Gourd! is available in 12 ounce bottles and draft.

Red Brick Vanilla Gorilla Returns to Brick Mason Lineup

Red Brick Vanilla Gorilla is returning as a permanent addition to the brewery’s Brick Mason lineup this month. The beer originally returned back to draft lineup in 2010. Since then, barrel aged, and smoked editions have been released.

Red Brick brewer Steve Anderson hand cut 800 Madacascar bourbon vanilla beans for this batch. It took over four hours.

Featuring Madagascar Bourbon vanilla beans, which impart a rich, dark, and creamy character, these qualities enhance the luxurious chocolate notes in the carefully selected blend of six different malts.The result is a beer at the height of our creative expression as brewers, and completely deserving of our hightest distinction as a Brick Mason.

Red Brick Vanilla Gorilla is available in 12 ounce bottles and draft.

Stone 24 Carrot Golden Ale, Inspired by Carrot Cake Released

Stone 24 Carrot Golden Ale is coming to the brewery’s Collaboration Series. This release features Monkey Paw Pub and Brewery, and American Homebrewers Association winner, Juli Goldenberg.

Hot on the heels of Points Unknown IPA, Stone 24 Carrot Golden Ale is inspired by carrot cake. The liquid ode to cake is based as Belgian golden ale, with two key ingredients – 20 pounds of golden raisins  and grated carrots.

Beet juice was also added to help with the carrot cake color. If you’ve had carrot cake before, the icing is a just as important as the cake itself. Goldenberg added lactose during the boil, and vanilla beans post fermentation.

Stone 24 Carrot Golden Ale is a 22oz bottles and draft in September/October, 2015.
