Left Hand Fade to Black, the original, and the medal winner

Left Hand Fade to Black

Left Hand Fade to Black was the replacement for the brewery’s spiced winter ale, Snowbound. Fade to Black was actually a series, starting with Volume 1 – a foreign export. Despite other editions coming out, the export stout held its own, winning medals and beer geek love. The brewery hand smokes the malt that gives this beer the unique flavor and smoky character.

Brewed for the darkness, Left Hand’s seasonal stands out from the holiday fare, pouring deep black with notes of licorice, espresso bean, and molasses. The brewing team hand-smokes malt, smoking 2550kg over several weeks with pimento wood from Jamaica.

Left Hand Fade to Black is available now in 12 ounce bottles and draft.

Style: Stout (Rauchbier)
Availability: 12oz Bottles, Draft. Seasonally.

Lonerider Pistols at Dawn Cans Return October 6th

Lonerider Pistols at Dawn Cans

So this year, Lonerider Brewing Company (Raleigh, NC) got rid of their bottling line, and went all cans. A bold move.

That means even some of the bottle favorites will return in can form, like Pistols at Dawn. Pistols is the brewery’s stout brewed with chocolate and coffee.

High noon will have to take a backseat as the fresh morning air is perfect for a duel. We present our stout brewed with roasted malts, oats, lactose, and locally produced chocolate and coffee. A rich, dark velvety beer with a fine oatmeal flavor.

Lonerider Pistols at Dawn is a 16 ounce can release, available in distribution after the brewery’s release party.

Style: Stout (w/ Chocolate, Coffee. Lactose.)
Availability: 16oz Cans, Draft. Limited release
Return: 10/6/15

7.5% ABV
