We are close to rounding out the year of Lost Abbey Ultimate Box Set Releases. The 11th release is influenced by Charlie Daniels “Devil Went Down To Georgia.” A perfect title, as this edition features peaches, & black tea. Lost Abbey took Angel’s Share and aged it fresh Heaven Hill Bourbon Barrels for 9 months. From there, fresh peaches, black tea and Brettanomyces (wild yeast) was added for a little funk.
Why? Tomme Arthur (Founder, Lost Abbey) had a sweet tea peach bourbon drink at Seattle Beer Week a few years ago. He wanted to brew a beer to mimic those flavors.
Style: American Strong Ale (w/ Peaches, Barrel Aged, Brett)
Availability: 12.7 oz bottles. Brewery release only. Drink on site only.
Arrival: November 10, 2012
12% ABV

The second edition in Mother Earth Brewing’s (Kinston, NC) Window Panes Series approaches. Panes is a series of North Carolina inspired beers (there will be 4) that will contain fruit from the states farms, then aged in pinor noir, chardonnay, or brandy barrels. The total production per release is limited to just 20 barrels. (620 gallons.) Blackberries was the featured fruit in release #1.
Uncork a bottle of Peach Window Pane and savor the fresh flavors of North Carolina. Second in a series of four North Carolina inspired beers, Peach Window Pane is a double American wheat fermented with vast quantities of luscious North Carolina fruit, then aged in Chardonnay barrels for three months. Anticipate a prevailing aroma of fruit and chardonnay, blended with a subtle amount of oak. Also expect dominant fruit flavor joined by a slight oak character and sourness that keeps you wanting more.
Style: Wheat Beer (w/ Peaches, Wine Barrel Aged)
Availability: 750 ml bottles, Corked/Caged. Sold at brewery & select stores
Arrival: October, 2012

New Belgium’s Lips of Faith Series grows in August. Peach Porch Lounger, a musical collaboration between NB and Philadelphia’s G. Love is ready to ship. G-Love, better known as Garrett Dutton, has been home brewing since high school. Mr. Love is also a big New Belgium fan, reportedly riding a Fat Tire bike to the beach. The name? Based off of G. Love’s favorite song — Front Porch Lounger. The bottle mimics the cover of that album — The Hustle.
Peach Porch Lounger is the lovechild Saison of musician G. Love and New Belgium. The glowing orange beer is a groovy mix of peaches, hominy grits, molasses and lemon peel with pale and biscuit malts. Brettanomyces yeast brings a bold, sweet nose and the beer ends with a dry finish. ABV is 9.4%.
Style: Saison (w/ molasses, lemon peel, peach juice)
Availability: 22oz bombers, Draft
Arrival: August, 2012
9.4% ABV

Our Peach Berliner Weisse is a German-style tart wheat beer that’s perfect for the hot summer months. We violate traditional German beer production methods in every way by adding hundreds of pounds of Midwest-grown peaches to each batch. We hope you enjoy the irreverence as much as we do.
