Sierra Nevada Pat-Rye-Ot Revolutionary Pale Ale in May

Sierra Nevada Pat-Rye-Ot Revolutionary Pale Ale will be one of the beers in May’s return of Beer Camp Across America.

The last round of Beer Camp Across America in 2014 featured 12 hand-picked breweries that created their own unique beer. In 2016, 30 breweries come together, paired by geographic locations.

Sierra Nevada Pat-Rye-Ot Revolutionary Pale Ale covers the northeast region of the United States – a collaboration with Devil’s Backbone (Virginia), Dogfish Head (Delaware), Lawson’s Finest Liquids (Vermont), Stoudt’s Brewing (Pennsylvania), and Trillium Brewing Company (Massachusetts). For those of you that remember history, all those states were among the 13 originals.

Sierra Nevada Pat-Rye-Ot is an “old-meets-new” take on a pale ale by brewers all located in the original 13 colonies. It features rye and apples, which were among the first ingredients used by American breweries in the colonies, alongside bold American hops-hallmarks of our modern craft beer “revolution.”

Sierra Nevada Pat-Rye-Ot Revolutionary Pale Ale will be a 12 ounce bottle offering in May, a part of the brewery’s Beer Camp Across America 12 pack. The beer will also be featured at the special Beer Camp events across the country.

Style: Pale Ale (w/ Apples)

Bronx Spring Pale Ale with Tea joins draft seasonal lineup

Bronx Spring Pale Ale with Tea hits tap this month. The newest release from the Bronx, New York brewery is brewed with two different teas.

A blend of two types of black tea and chamomile tea.

Chamomile tea has long been used for its calming effects since Ancient times but we can’t help to get overly excited about this tea infused pale ale.  Earthy black teas from India and Indonesia join the sweetness of Chamomile to complement English malts and lemon citrus New Zealand hops to make this crisp, spring inspired pale ale.

Bronx Spring Pale Ale with Tea finishes at 5.7% alcohol by volume. Available now through March, 2016.

Style: Pale Ale (w/ Chamomile Tea. Black Tea)
Hops: New Zealand Dr. Rudi
Malts: Muntons Extra Pale, Briess Bonlander Munich, Briess Brown Rice Flakes

Availability: Draft only

Founders Palm Reader, a 12oz bottle potential

Founders Palm Reader, a future pale ale, celebrates the brewery’s home state of Michigan.

Looking to fill another mysterious seasonal slot, Founders Palm Reader uses a hop you might not have heard much about… until now. If you are familiar with the Czech Republic born noble hop, Saaz, then you know a little about Zuper Saazer. This Michigan-grown hybrid is much like Saaz, but with a citrus kick. A little old world meets new world hops.

A tribute to our beautiful state, this refreshing ale is made with Michigan-grown Crystal and Zuper-Saazer hops. Derived from Saaz, a traditional noble hop hailing from the Czech Republic, these Zuper-Saazer hops, grown locally at Hophead Farms, impart intense and fruity aromas. Combined with the citrus notes of Crystal hops and the simple malt bill, this beer is crisp, bright, and delicious.

Founders Palm Reader will be a draft and 12 ounce bottle offering. The brewery has not yet announced this beer.

Style: Pale Ale
Hops: Zuper Saazer
