Another round of Thing 1 Thing 2 releases arrives on September 27th. This series demonstrates the differences in both yeast and processes.

Mother’s Brewing is launching a new fun and experimental series called The Thing Thing 2 Thing. The draft only series will be a playground of sorts for the brewers (Like Terrapin’s Side Project Series, SweetWater’s Dank Tank, or Flying Dog’s Brewhouse Rarities series.) Thing 1 and Thing 2 will be 2 versions of the beer experiment.
We’re exploring ideas, new processes, and ingredients. Each batch will start with one concept in the brew house and will then hit two separate paths of fermentation, evolving into a pair of complimentary yet unique beers. Maybe each gets different yeast or fruit. Or maybe dry-hopped. Maybe Thing 1 gets barrel aged and Thing 2 doesn’t. With so many options, we’re sure to crank out some fun, unique and great new beers for you to enjoy. And to keep it fun, we will release a brand new Thing 1 and Thing 2 every 4-6 weeks.
First releases:
Thing 1: American IPA with lots of Citra hops.
Thing 2: Belgian IPA with Citra hops.
