Branding Update: Monday Night Blood Orange Blind Pirate
Monday Night Blood Orange Blind Pirate is getting a little branding update. The brewery
This rendition of Blind Pirate got its start in the Clip-On Series – a side project for Monday Night. The brewery takes a year round offering and throws it a curve ball. (Note: The series now includes none year-round beers too.)
The first release was Serrano Eye Patch Ale, a peppery spin on the year round English-style IPA. Not long after, Blind Pirate, their double IPA received a little blood orange treatment. As October winds down, you can get Blood Orange Blind Pirate in 12-ounce cans.
Pirates love citrus fruits almost as much as they love blood. If the phrase “you are what you eat” is true, then pirates are blood oranges. If the phrase “you are what you drink” is true, you’re about to be an incredibly delicious, juicy hop bomb of an IPA. We add bits of real blood orange to every beer, so you know it’s good.
Monday Night Blood Orange Blind Pirate is a draft, and 12-ounce can release.
Style: Imperial IPA (w/ Blood Orange)
Hops: Columbus, Cascade, Magnum
Malts: 2 Row, Wheat, Caramel
Availability: 12oz Cans, Draft. Year-Round.
Release (Cans): October, 2016

Monday Night is about to put you in the Friend Zone
Monday Night Friend Zone is coming the the brewery’s Clip-On Series.
When your brewery your is riddled with neckties and you have a one-off/experimental series, what do you call it? The Clip-On Series. Back in September of 2015, the first Clip-On beer appeared – Serrano Eye Patch Ale. The series has grown to include beers like Blood Orange Blind Pirate, Cinnamon Cocoa Drafty Kilt.
Soon you are about to be put in the “friend zone”. (Don’t act like you haven’t been there before.) At least this one has beer in it.
Monday Night Friend Zone is a “SMASH” pale ale, meaning Single Malt and Single Hop beer. In this case, the citrusy Mandarina Bavaria hop, and Pilsner malt.
Once she tells you that she “loves you like a brother,” you know you’ve been relegated to the Friend Zone. If that ever happens, and we hope it doesn’t, this is your beer.
A single light malt gives hints of honey to sweeten your day. Mandarina Bavaria hops lend an aroma of sweet orange peel to remind you that one day someone else will find you a-peel-ing.

Style: Pale Ale
Hops: Mandarina Bavaria

Monday Night Dad Bod Black Saison coming to “Clip On” series
Monday Night Dad Bod Black Saison will join the brewery’s “Clip-On” Series in October.
In September of 2015, The Atlanta, Georgia based brewery debuted a one-off series they call the “Clip-On Series.” Beers featuring in the lineup are fun reinventions of core Monday Night releases. Examples include: Cinnamon Cocoa Drafty Kilt, and Blood Orange Blind Pirate.
Monday Night Dad Bod is a black saison, and incidentally, not a spin on a core beer like the releases mentioned above. The brewery touts this release as “Dark, herbal, and super smooth,” thanks to Keemun black tea used in the brewing process.

Dad Bod isn’t just a beer, it’s a state of mind. Dad Bod means working out just enough not to have to buy new pants, and spending the rest of the time working on your drinking muscles. Our dark saison has a mind nose with hints of espresso and citrus. A peppery flavor gives this down-to-earth beer the edge needed to attract a mate and nothing more.
Monday Night Dad Bod Black Saison will be a 12 ounce bottle and draft offering.
Style: Saison
Availability: 12oz Bottles, Draft. One-off release.
Debut: October, 2016
6% ABV

Monday Night Fu ManBrew Gose up next in Clip On Series
Monday Night Fu ManBrew Gose looks to be the next release in the brewery’s Clip-On Series. Each release is a temporary “clip-on” to the brewery’s lineup, typically a spin on a year-round offering.
The brewery’s ginger wheat beer, known as Fu Manbrew, is the next beer the brewing team has tinkered with. Monday Night kettle soured the base beer, transforming it into more of a German-style gose.
The nose is a traditional German style known for its wheat base, tartness, and saltiness. We kettle sour our version, resulting in a pleasant lemon note that balances the sea salt nicely. The soul of Fu Manbrew lives on in this beer, with its crisp taste, aroma of lemongrass, and pristine mustache.
Monday Night Fu ManBrew Gose follows Blood Orange Blind Pirate and and Cinnamon Cocoa Drafty Kilt in the series.
The brewery has not yet announced this offering.
Style: Gose (w/ Ginger)
Availability: 12oz Bottles, Draft. One-Off Release
Debut: TBA
5.2% ABV
Monday Night Cinnamon Cocoa Drafty Kilt [Released]
Monday Night Cinnamon Cocoa Drafty Kilt launches Atlanta, Georgia based brewery’s “Clip-On Series” lineup.
The Clip-On Series is a side project for Monday Night, taking one of the brewery’s tried and true offerings and switching it up a bit. The first release was Serrano Eye Patch Ale, followed by Blood Orange Blind Pirate. Soon, a cinnamon cocoa spin on their scotch ale Drafty Kilt will grace the series.
Cinnamon is a versatile spice. You can stir it into oatmeal , add it to chili, and even snort it (not recommend). We thought we’d add it to our already delicious Drafty Kilt as a special treat. The addition of cocoa nibs makes this treat even more indulgent. Refined notes of spice and dark chocolate abound, making this beer perfect for a cold winter (week)night.
Monday Night Cinnamon Cocoa Drafty Kilt is a draft, and12 ounce bottle offering.
Style: Scotch Ale (w/ Cinnamon, Cocoa)
Hops: Columbus, Willamette
Malts: Roasted Barley, Chocolate, Cherrywood Smoked, Crystal

Now Is Your Chance to Design Monday Night’s Next Clip On Series Release
Monday Night Brewing (Atlanta, GA) has just released their Serrano Eye Patch Ale in six packs for the first time. This is the first release in a new Clip-On Series. The best part? You don’t just get to drink these new beers, you get to be involved in the process.
Monday Night Serrano Eye Patch is riff on their year round English-style IPA, Eye Patch Ale. Using fresh cut serrano peppers, the result is a spicer take on a usual suspect. This is where you come in.
Monday Night has enlisted Beer Street Journal’s audience’s help to create the next beers in the series. So it’s time to get creative. Monday Night’s year round lineup includes Drafty Kilt Scotch Ale, Nerd Alert Pseudo-pilsner, Blind Pirate Imperial IPA, Fu ManBrew Ginger Wit, and of course- Eye Patch IPA. Using these base recipes as inspiration, time to make it your own. Monday Night already got you started with Serrano Eye Patch. Now you grab a beer and get creative.
Leave your ideas in the comments below and Monday Night will choose the best. Once we have style picked out, then come back and we name it.
What’s your idea? Give it a shot. Tell us below. A test batch of the winning brew will be available on draft at the brewery. You and 10 of your closest friends can attend the launch at Monday Night so start brainstorming.
Extended! Though 11:59 pm on June 1st!
