It’s all about the bees. Jester King Queen’s Order
Jester King Queen’s Order debuts at the brewery in Austin, Texas on May 19th.
The base beer is a farmhouse ale brewed with Texas-grown Eureka and Ujukitsu lemons, along with Texas Guajillo honey.Brewed back in February of the year, Jester King Queen’s Order was fermented in stainless steel with a blend of native yeast and bacteria.
“Queen’s Order” is a nod to the 1,000s of little workers that make the sticky, delicious nectar both in Texas and beyond. Austin is home to the National Honey Beer Summit taking place later this month.
Look at them crank. These are the tiny, well-oiled gears of an industry. They are paragons of fealty; each of their lifespans represents the durability of a replaceable component in a machine built for another’s purpose. It is fascinating to watch them buzz along endlessly like characters in their own dystopian novel, unaware of their audience and unable to afford a single thought beyond the Queen’s Order.
Jester King Queen’s Order will be available in 750 milliliter bottles and draft when the brewery opens on May 19th.

Anderson Valley GT Gose (aka Gin & Tonic Gose)
Anderson Valley GT Gose is headed to market, a new botanical gose.
Think of a gin & tonic cocktail when it comes to this new gose. The idea came about after a few in house discussions surrounding beer cocktails, and barrel-aged gins. The brewery used lemon peel, juniper berries, and lemongrass at the end of beer’s boil, adding botanical notes that gin boasts.
During fermentation, the brewery added cucumber, salt, and a touch of cinchona bark.
Reminiscent of a classic cocktail, our GT Gose showcases botanical flavors and aromas of lemon peel, juniper, lemongrass, and grains of paradise. With a juicy lemon-lime tartness and slightly peppery finish, we’ve given the gose style a unique spin that we’re sure you’ll enjoy.

The newest “a-peeling” can: Dogfish Head Flesh & Blood
Dogfish Head Flesh & Blood IPA has been canned for the first time, following 60 Minute IPA the Delaware brewery’s new can lineup.
Fruit nuanced India pale ales have taken the beer world by storm over the past year, and 2017 will be no different. The beer debuted in 2016 in the brewery’s “Occasionals” lineup, but demand is dictating otherwise. Dogfish Head Flesh & Blood IPA has been promoted to year-round status, exclusively in aluminum.
Flesh & Blood’s base is an imperial IPA, brewed with fresh lemon flesh, and blood orange juice.
“We’ve been experimenting with fruit and citrus IPA’s since 1996 when we released Aprihop, an IPA brewed with apricots. The India Pale Ale is the biggest craft beer style in America and the most popular breakout subset style in the fruit IPA. We think the fruit IPA category will surge the fastest in 2017 and we are proud of Dogfish Head’s innovator position in this realm.” – Sam Calagione, Dogfish Head founder and CEO

Big on fruit. Heavy Seas TropiCannon now year-round
Heavy Seas TropiCannon has returned to the brewery’s lineup once again. This time, year-round.
Loosely based on the brewery’s Loose Cannon IPA, Heavy Seas TropiCannon is hoppy, with a blast of tropical and citrus fruits. The brewing team introduces dried grapefruit, oranges and lemons during the brewing process, and mango, blood oranges and grapefruit post-fermentation. While Loose Cannon is heavy on the piney hop flavor, Heavy Seas boosts the citrus flavor by swapping Centennial and Palisade hops for Amarillo.
“TropiCannon was a pleasant surprise for us in 2016. It was originally planned as a limited release product, but so many people kept asking for it that we decided we needed to make it available on a year-round basis. At least for now. This is part of what makes the beer industry so fun!” – Hugh Sisson, brewery founder.
