Uinta Baba Black Lager Gets Canned

The final addition (for now) to Uinta’s can line up will be their Baba Black Lager. Another member of their USDA certified organic line, Baba is a easy-to-drink lager with a dark black color. Fun fact: each can in the series has their signature compass design at the top so one never gets lost while exploring and enjoying a Uinta. Uinta hopes to launch their cans in mid-March of 2013 just in time for spring.

Cigar City & B. Nektar Create “Camp Braggot Ghost Stories”

Cigar City Brewing (Tampa, FL) recently opened a Cider & Mead division of the brewery. Meet the first collaboration – Camp Braggot Ghost Stories. teaming up with B. Nektar Meadery (Ferndale, MI) the team has created a lager/mead hybrid, with a host of ingredients, including coconut, cacao nibs, tea, and oak chips.

Scary things live in the dark. Full of unknown ghosts and ghouls. Surprises behind every tree. It might scare you, or it might make you laugh, but it’ll break eery preconceived notion you may have.

Samuel Adams Blueberry Hill Lager is slated for bottles this year. The brew debuted on draft last year. Brewed with real blueberries.

A fresh take on a fruit beer. This crisp, unfiltered lager is aged on blueberries for a pleasant blueberry aroma and taste. To taste this fruity character in a new direction, we brewed with Tettnang Noble hops for an added subtle citrus note. A delicious blend of flavors with a smooth lager finish.

Budweiser Debuts Black Crown This Month

Anheuser-Busch will unveil another higher alcohol beer during Super Bowl XLVII on Feb. 3.  The beer was initially a part of Project 12, a company-wide brewmaster challenge amongst the brewers. Drinkers in various cities around the United States were given a chance to sample and vote on the winner. Bryan Sullivan’s 0537 from brewmaster from Los Angeles, California emerged the winner.

Black Crown Golden Amber Lager will hit shelves across the United States on January 21st. Of course, you will see a new batch of television ads during the big game. Expect a social media push behind this campaign with #TASTEIS associated with the commercial push. Also, expect Black Crown in 22oz bottles, an interesting package choice.
