America’s Soldiers, Baseball, and Left Hand Homefront IPA

Homefront IPA is part of the collective series of beers raises funds for Operation Homefront, a charity that provides financial assistance to the families of wounded service members. Each of the beers is aged on wood bats donated by Louisville Slugger. Left Hand Brewing’s patriotic (and quite badass) label for their edition of Homefront IPA is seen above. Brewed with dried sweet orange peel, and orange zest.

Operation Homefront Provides Assistance to the families of service members overseas and our wounded warriors at home. Homefront IPA is brewed by craft brewers to support that effort. Left Hand Brewing Co is proud to express our gratitude to our service members who think of others before themselves and put the needs of our nation before their own.

OneBoston IPA to Raise Money for Boston Victims

Trillium Brewing in conjunction with The Publick House, BeerAdvocate, and Valley Malt have come together for the greater good of a hurting city. The outcome is OneBoston IPA, with 100% of proceeds going to One Boston, a charity that directly benefits the families of victims who were killed and those most seriously affected by the horrible Boston Marathon disaster.

OneBoston will be released on Wednesday, June 5th at 5pm at The Publick House in Brookline, Mass. The beer will also be available for growler fills at the brewery, at  in Boston, starting on June 6th at 4pm.

New Belgium Launches Hop Kitchen “French Aramis”

New Belgium Hop Kitchen French Aramis

Fresh cut flowers and garden herbs. That’s how New Belgium Brewing (Ft. Collins, CO) describes their second release in their Hop Kitchen Series. French Aramis follows Hoppy Bock Lager which arrived in March of this year. You can expect four beers in this hoppy playground in 2013.

A drier IPA for the summer, brewed with French Aramis hops to create an aroma of fresh cut flowers and garden herbs.

Shipyard Cellar Addition: Monkey Fist

Last year, Shipyard Brewing Co (Portland, ME) started a Cellar Aged release series. The brewery has been taking different offerings and aging in bourbon barrels. Soon to emerge from those barrels – Monkey Fist India Pale Ale. These releases are limited, in 750ml bottles.

Our Bourbon Barrel Aged ales are brewed and carefully cellar-aged in small batches in dedicated bourbon barrels at our brewery in Portland, Maine.
