One of Duclaw Brewing’s most sought after beers, Retribution is ready to return. Retribution is an imperial stout aged for six months in white oak bourbon barrels.

This vengeful stout is among the best in their lineup too. Big flavors of dark chocolate, coffee, caramelized sugar and vanilla from the oak appear in each sip. You’ll hate it when it’s gone.

It will be available starting October 16th at all three Duclaw locations.

Style: Imperial Stout (Barrel Aged. Bourbon)
Hops: Chinook, Golding
Malts: Pale Malt, Roasted Barley, Torrified Wheat, CaraMunich, Chocolate Malt

Clown Shoes Uses Holy Water, Rum Barrels

Clown Shoes Brewing continues to fight evil with Hammer of the Holy. This sure to be amazing stout has been aged in 40 year old Jamaican rum barrels with holy water. Yes, holy water.

Much like previous release Vampire Slayer, this beer fights evil with the addition of holy water added to the boil. [No, I don’t think that boiling holy water diminishes the beer’s ability to cast out evil.]

But wait, there’s more. The malt was smoked with vampire killing stakes. So, grab a glass and cast out some demons. Hopefully taking a few of those Twilight losers with you.

Cigar City Hunahpu Imperial Stout 2014

You’ve got a bit of time to wait until you see this beer again. Cigar City Brewing’s Hunahpu Imperial Stout will make another appearance on March 8, 2014. Hunahpu, a massive imperial stout, is brewed with cocoa nibs, ancho and pasilla chilies, cinnamon, and Madagascar vanilla beans. Crazy delicious.

In Mayan mythology, Hun Hunahpu was the father of the hem twins Hunahpu and Xbalanque. Hun Hunahpu, with his brother Hunahpu. vies Vidal by the Dark Lords of the and slain. Hun Hunahpu’s corpse morphed into a cacao tree, his head becoming a cacao pod, which in typically awesome mythology fashion, spit upon the hand of a young maiden named, Xiquic who promptly became pregnant with the hero twins. The twins would ultimately grow up to avenge their father and uncle and defeat the Dark Lords and ascend to the heavens to become the moon and sun.

Style: Imperial Stout (w/ Cinnamon, Vanilla beans, Chili Peppers, Cacao Nibs,)

Southern Tier’s Newest Pumpkin Offering Arrives

Southern Tier’s second pumpkin offering of the season is hitting shelves. Pumking, easily one of the most talked about pumpkin beers in craft beer came out in July.

Warlock compliments Pumking, as an imperial stout brewed with pumpkin. It boasts a big roasted malt flavor and aromas of pumpkin pie. Limited offering in 22’s and draft.
