Terrapin French Toasted W-n-B Coming Soon

Terrapin Beer Company (Athens, GA) will follow up Moo-Hoociato with and spin on W-n-B, French Toasted W-n-B.

As the brewery’s robust, coffee-laden imperial stout is hitting shelves for the 10th year, French Toasted W-n-B won’t be far behind, utilizing Athens, Georgia based Jittery Joe’s coffee, plus maple syrup, vanilla, and cinnamon to make a beer perfect for breakfast.

Breakfast in a bottle returns this year with one of our favorite morning time treats. French toasted w-n-B combines big maple syrup notes, fresh coffee, and hence of vanilla and cinnamon to stand out among the ordinary Imperial Stout. With this much decadence packed into one bottle, this beer will get you back to the table for another round.

 

Terrapin French Toasted W-n-B will be available in 22oz bottles and draft. Moo-hoochiato will hit shelves soon. Beer Street Journal is told French Toast W-n-B will arrive before the end of 2014.

Duclaw Pumpkin Retribution Makes Halloween Return

Vintage 2013 of Duclaw Brewing’s Pumpkin Retribution drops on Halloween.

The base is the 11.5% ABV imperial stout aged in bourbon. It has been sitting in oak barrels flavored with pumpkin spice for six months, adding flavors of vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and caramelized sugar.

Bourbon Barrel-aged Imperial Stout with rich aromas of espresso and dark chocolate, and smooth roasted malt flavor, aged for 6 months in charred oak bourbon barrels with pumpkin spice to add the natural vanilla and caramelized sugar flavors of the wood, and the cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger essence of the spice to the beer.

On tap at Duclaw’s various locations on October 31st.

The Abyss is an imperial stout is brewed with brewers’ licorice, cherry bark, vanilla, and black strap molasses and is then “dry hopped” with vanilla beans and cherry bark. It is finished in bourbon, Oregon oak and pinot noir barrels

Sierra Nevada Barrel Aged Maple Stout Released

Become acquainted with the drool-worthy small batch beer from Sierra NevadaBourbon Barrel Aged Maple Stout.

Maple Stout is a big (big like, 13.4% ABV) imperial stout, aged in bourbon barrels with dark roasted coffee. What more do you need to know here?

…It has the notes of dark chocolate and toasted malts typical of a stout combined with an earthy sweetness and hint of maple balanced against toasted coconut aromas from the barrel aging. The beer finishes with a roasty touch from a combination of dark malts and coffee beans.

Sierra Nevada Barrel-Aged Maple Stout will be available in 750ml bottles. Don’t go checking your shelves for it. Barrel-Aged Maple Stout is only available in the Chico, California Gift Shop, Torpedo Room in Berkeley, and the Mills River Gift Shop in North Carolina (around 10/27).

The 2014 edition of W-n-B has been packaged and is ready to go. This release marks the 10th anniversary of the beer, with a special mention on the label.

Black as night, this coffee stout is thick, rich and full of real coffee flavor. Brewed with a special blend of beans from all over the world developed and roasted specifically for Terrapin by our friends at Jittery Joe’s Coffee right here in Athens, Ga. This unique blend of coffee produces a robust and flavorful beer that will leave you asking “Why not Beer?” for breakfast!
