The Yellowhammer take on the Belgian white is a little different. Instead of the more traditional hints of orange and coriander, the Yellowhammer white derives a hint of spice from Kaffir lime leaves and fresh ginger. A perfect beer on a hot day.
Yellowhammer Belgian White is a year round offering.

Four-packs of Kentucky Honey Barrel Brown Ale from Alltech Lexington Brewing and Distilling Company will soon hit shelves across the country. Master brewer Ken Lee used honey in the brew from beekeeper Richard Hosey of Hosey Farms in Midway. The winter seasonal barrel-aged brown ale is brewed with ginger and Kentucky honey.

The base is the 11.5% ABV imperial stout aged in bourbon. It has been sitting in oak barrels flavored with pumpkin spice for six months, adding flavors of vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, and caramelized sugar.
Bourbon Barrel-aged Imperial Stout with rich aromas of espresso and dark chocolate, and smooth roasted malt flavor, aged for 6 months in charred oak bourbon barrels with pumpkin spice to add the natural vanilla and caramelized sugar flavors of the wood, and the cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger essence of the spice to the beer.
On tap at Duclaw’s various locations on October 31st.

D&G Limited also exports ginger beer (the non-alcoholic kind) so a ginger infused Red Stripe isn’t a random addition.

Terrapin Beer Co. (Athens, GA) is ready to ship their 3rd release in the Special Reserve Series, Imperial Pumpkin Porter.
A departure from the brewery’s other pumpkin offering, Pumpkinfest, Imperial Pumpkin Porter starts with a porter beer as a base. From there, the beer is then nuanced with a plethora of spices – nutmeg, clove, ginger, and of course, pumpkin. The result is what “Spike” calls, luscious.
Terrapin Imperial Pumpkin Porter follows inaugural release White Chocolate Moo-Hoo, and Cinnamon Roll’d W-n-B. In the video above, Spike discloses the next two offerings, MooHoo-ciato (chocolate milk porter with coffee), and French Toast Wake n Bake. (Think breakfast.) Those two will round out the Special Reserve Series in 2014.
There are about 10,000 bottles of Imperial Pumpkin Porter headed into the wild. Be on the lookout starting this week.

Meet Widmer Fizz, an interesting hybrid beer. Fizz is brewed with Meyer lemons, fresh ginger, and finished with champagne yeast. The result is an effervescent, bubby, summer offering.
“We got together with the 10 Barrel team, and they helped push this beer way out of the box,” said Ben Dobler, innovation brewer at Widmer Brothers Brewing. “We’re calling Fizz a ‘spritzer-style ale’ because the beer was inspired by spritzer champagne cocktails, and we feel like it’s a great description of what the beer actually delivers. The champagne yeast, Meyer lemon, and fresh ginger give it a really refreshing summertime taste.”
Widmer Brothers Fizz will be available in limited quantities in 22oz bottles, and draft.
