New Belgium’s Coconut Curry Ships

New Belgium Cococnut Curry

The latest in New Belgium’s Lips of Faith Series has released. Coconut Curry Hefeweizen is an eccentric beer brewed with coconut and curry, along with cinnamon, coriander, fenugreek, ginger, kaffir lime and cayenne pepper. Based on various popular home brew recipes.

The aroma is big and bold, offering coconut and curry tones alongside a hint of banana from the hefe yeast. The vast spice list carries a bit of heat, including cinnamon, coriander, fenugreek, ginger, kaffir lime and cayenne pepper, but the alcohol soothes the finish.

Style: Hefeweizen (w/ Coconut, Curry, Cinnamon, Ginger, Lime, Coriander, Fenugreek, Cayenne Pepper)
Availability: 22oz bombers, Draft

Meet New Belgium Lips of Faith Coconut Curry Hefeweizen

New Belgium Lips of Faith Coconut Curry

If all goes to plan at New Belgium Brewing (Fort Collins, CO) you should see Coconut Curry Hefeweizen added to the Lips of Faith Series in June, 2013. This homebrew recipe turn turned pro features a list of ingredients making it a perfect addition to the Lips of Faith lineup.

The list of spices in this coconut curry hefeweizen is almost as long as the list of awards bestowed on home brewer, Remin Bonnart. Together we brewed up a traditional German-style wheat beer whose fruity estersand spicy phenols pair perfectly with the spicy and fruity character of curry spices. Pour yourself a plateful.
