21st Amendment Toaster Pastry, a Pop-Tart Inspired Beer

21st Amendment Toaster Pastry, a new Pop-Tart flavored beer releases this month.

First and foremost, the beer is homage to their new San Leandro brewery’s building’s former self, a Kellogg’s plant. (Maker of Pop-Tarts). 21st Amendment Toaster Pastry is billed as an “India-style” red ale, with biscuit malts for a nutty flavor, and dark crystal and pale malts for a strawberry jam taste.

Our first beer out of our new brewery is an homage to its former life as a toaster pastry factory. Biscuit malts give the beer a slightly nutty, crust-like flavor, while pale and dark crystal malts create the mouthfeel and flavors reminiscent of strawberry jam. Calypso and other experimental hops give this ruby ale a welcome bite, plus a few more in the op back for a toasty-sweet aroma.

21st Amendment Toaster Pastry will be available in 19.2 ounce cans when the San Leandro August 29th at the grand opening.

Style: IPA
Availability: 19.2 ounce cans.

Victory Brewing Company (Downingtown, PA) has rolled out their first canned offerings this year. First, was Summer Love (a late spring-summer seasonal.)

Victory Headwaters Ale is coming in September, a beer that raises the awareness of beer’s key ingredient – water. Interesting to note, this can art removes the pale ale mention, plus the description is little different.

This crisp and aromatically arousing session ale integrates a supportive malt base with herbal hop complexity, offering lemon notes and tea-like earthiness.

The canning line is a part of Victory’s production expansion in Parkesburg, Pennsylvania. Victory Headwaters Pale Ale is a 12 ounce can offering.

It’s Nitro Time for Samuel Adams & Nitro Coffee Stout

Samuel Adams Nitro Coffee Stout signals the beginning of nitrogen infused cans by the Boston, Massachusetts brewery.

Seems almost redundant to mention it, but years, Guinness Nitro cans was the only player in the beer market. In recent years, Left Hand Brewing added Nitro Milk Stout bottles, while was Sam Adams launching cans. Now, Samuel Adams Nitro Coffee Stout cans are on the horizon.

The cans will use a nitro widget, similar to what Guinness uses.

A nitro widget inside this case gives our coffee stout its incredibly smooth, creamy taste. You’ll notice a swirling cascade of energy as the beer settles into your glass. The widget does the work for you, so chill, pour, & enjoy.

Samuel Adams Nitro Coffee Stout will be available in 15.2 ounce cans. The brewery has not yet announced this offering.

Style: Stout (w/ Coffee. Nitrogen Pour.)
Availability: 15.2oz Cans

The Makers of Wheaties Cereal Brings You – HefeWheaties

Wheaties, the breakfast cereal of champions, is bringing you the next logical step in your day, Beer. Introducing HefeWheaties.

HefeWheaties will be available for a limited time in the Twin Cities, starting August 26th, at 3 pm at the Fulton Beer taproom for on-premise consumption. Cans will be available in retail in mid-to-late September.
