Tart Lychee To Join New Belgium’s Lips Of Faith

New Belgium Tart LycheeComing soon to New Belgium’s Lips Of Faith Series Tart Lychee.   Lychee features cinnamon and some oak aging.  A lychee is a  sub tropical fruit originating in South China.  The fleshy, edible part has the consistency of a grape, and is tart, acidic, & sweet all at the same time.

To sweet and sour! In celebration of one of the greatest combinations ever.  Lychee fruit brings tropical sweetness to the party hosed by Felix, our golden wood-aged sour beer.  Cinnamon sticks were invited to spice things up and so are you!  Get in on the tasty revelry that is Tart Lychee

Nebraska Barrel Aged Hop God Returns Tonight

Tonight, Nebraska Brewing releases another round of Barrel Aged Hop God.  

...began with our Hop God Belgian-Style IPA which was then enhanced by a 6 month maturation in French Oak Chardonnay Barrels.This version of Hop God is a fascinating, big, bold Belgian-style Tripel hopped in very high amounts to concentrate citrus, grapefruit and floral aromatics in the nose.The addition of Chardonnay barrel aging adds further dimension and oak tannins to an already wonderfully complex Ale.We know of nothing that compares. Enjoy!

Bronx Brewery’s New Bourbon Barrel Pale Ale

Bronx Brewery Bourbon Barrel Pale AleBronx Brewery was the first brewery to open it’s doors in the area in over 50 years, debuting Bronx Pale Ale on September 8th, 2011.  Those fans of the new brewery has some barrel aged offerings to start looking forward to.  Bronx has taken their signature pale ale, and aged  it it bourbon barrels. Not many pale ales fine time in bourbon.

This deep amber American pale ale is brewed with 5 different barley malts, generous additions of Cascade and Centennial hops, and a unique strain of yeast. It is dry-hopped, unfiltered and unpasteurized. Finally, it is aged in an American Oak Bourbon barrel to impart notes of Bourbon, oak and faint vanilla.

He'Brew Funky JewbelationI keep mentioning this newbie coming soon from Shmaltz – mainly because it sounds like it is going to be fantastic.  Above is the spiffy bottle artwork for the He’Brew Funky Jewbelation release.  The brewery has plans on blending & bottling on Monday and will ship out shortly after.

Funky Jewbelation breaks down like this:

Jewbelation Fifteen – Aged 3 months
Vintage Jewbelation – Aged 9 months
Bittersweet Lenny’s R.I.P.A. – Aged 1 month
Origin – Aged 14 months Reunion Ale ’11 – Aged 7 months
Messiah – Aged 14 months

That brings the barrel math to 73% aged in rye whiskey,  27% aged in bourbon barrels.  It’s the 6th barrel age
