The Lagunitas deal is now official. Brewery founder Tony Magee has announced that he has signed a the lease on the Chicago location. A new 250 barrel (7,750 gallon per time) brewhouse will be built at a former steel plant at 18th & Rockwell Streets.
Magee has mentioned/tweeted that he wants the tap room open by November of 2011. The goal is for drinkers to watch the brewery be built while they have a pint. Expect the new brewhouse to be functional in late 2013.
