In a 4 minute video posted by @HopCast, John Laffler speaks briefly of the “Innovation Projects” going on at Goose Island. You’ll be surprised to hear that Goose Island has around 100 beers in the works, and 285 projects. (Not all beer related.)
One of the projects, is about texture of the beer. Manipulating the taste, texture and peoples interpretations. (Sure theres a lot more to that. )
– There are 900 Lolita barrels to be filled this year.
– Goose Island is quadrupling what is probably already the largest barrel aging program in the U.S.-
– This year GI will be ordering 48,000 lbs of raspberries (for barrel aging)
