How Red Brick Came Up with Holy Brother Stout

For this video, I decided to do something a little different. A little round table discussion about how a beer was thought up, brewed and named.

Red Brick Brewing (Atlanta) just launched a draft only offering – Holy Brother Belgian Stout. In this video, you’ll see how the brewery conceptualized Holy Brother, and see a little fun insight to how the beer became real. Especially the history meets Denzel Washington angle. Watch it and see.

Holy Brother Belgian Stout is only available on draft in Georgia, to show a little home state love.

Style: Belgian Imperial Stout
Availability: Draft only. One time release. Georgia Only.

8% ABV

Terrapin (and Others) Brew Rye Pale Ale in Austria [VIDEO]

Athens, Georgia legend Owen Ogletree organizes an annual trip to Europe to visit and tour some pretty legendary breweries.

This year, Terrapin Beer Co’s “Spike” Buchowski brewed a Rye Pale Ale clone at 1516 brewpub in Austria. Alongside Spike are brewers from Max Lager’s, Wrecking Bar, Slice & Pint, and future Mazurt Brewing.

About six years ago, brewers from Victory Brewing Company (Downingtown, PA) brewed a Hop Devil clone, still on tap today at 1516.

Rumor has it Michael Bay directed this video to be used in Transformers 4. Brewer Jeremy Danner did all his stunts, used all real goats. The explosions are incredibly real. Oh yeah, and Chocolate Ale.

Ed note: None of this is true. Except for Danner. And Chocolate Ale. That’s shipping now.
