This Is Weasel Poop. It is Used in Beer [VIDEO]

I’m sure you already had some images in your head as to what the most expensive coffee beans might look like as they come out of a civet. If you don’t Mikkel (of Mikkeller fame) has that answer for you.

Civets digest coffee berries, and defecate the soon to be coffee beans. This process adds flavor to the final product. Chicken fat is also involved in the process. By the way, yes. He is holding a turd.

Beer Street Journal Video: Twain’s Brews Batch 500

Twain’s Billiards & Tap is a full service brewpub in downtown Decatur, Georgia. They opened their doors in 1996. In 2006, they started brewing craft beer.

In late September, Twains celebrated a milestone-  their 500th batch. You have to make #500 special right? Head brewer Chase Medlin and Brad Davis created Imperial Oat-milk Porter. Beer Street Journal stopped by on brew day.
