Creature Comforts to debut Classic City Lager year-round in October

Creature Comforts Classic City Lager is coming in October. Named for the brewery’s hometown of Athens, Georgia.

As expected of the style, Classic City Lager described as a “clean, crisp, and easy-drinking lager” by the brewery. The 4.2% alcohol by volume, easy-drinking beer should be pretty approachable by all beer drinkers. “There are so many options to choose from and we wanted to make a beer that is perfect for those who enjoy drinking a lower ABV pale lager. Classic City Lager is simply good cold beer,” says co-founder and head brewery David Stein.

The can’s typography was created by Athens artist Chris Collins.

Big Boss Harvest Time Pumpkin Ale is brewed with fresh pumpkin and a secret blend of spices (no, this isn’t a fried chicken recipe). The brewery touts this release as a beer “that still tastes like beer”. After 10 years this release is still one of Big Boss Brewing’s most requested seasonal releases.

Hi-Wire Hop Circus Tropical White IPA opens new year-round IPA series

Hi-Wire Hop Circus Tropical White IPA will lead off new “Hop Circus”, a year-round series of rotating India pale ales.

The Asheville, North Carolina based brewery has found great success with their Hi-Pitch Mosaic India Pale Ale, as well as their hazy Hazy&Juicy&Hoppy&Fresh series of IPAs. Instead of departing too far from these hoppy successes, Hi-Wire is opting to tack on a rotating series of beer’s most popular style – the India pale ale.

Hi-Wire Hop Circus Tropical White IPA is the inaugural release in this “Hop Circus”, a white (wheat heavy) IPA. The “tropical’ is thanks to mango and pineapple fruit, plus a blast of white grape and citrus from Hallertau Blanc and Citra hops. “With the Hop Circus series, we get to meet in the middle by experimenting in the wide range of IPA styles, but keeping the beer at a more affordable price point,” says brewery co-owner Chris Frosaker.

Tropical White IPA, as well as all the Hop Circus releases, are available in 12-ounce cans and draft across the brewery’s entire distribution footprint.

Style: IPA (White IPA) (w/ Mango. Pineapple.)
Hops: Hallertau Blanc, Citra
Malts: Rolled Oats

Availability: 12oz Cans, Draft. One-Off Release.
Debut: September 2018
