Tommyknocker Opens Beer Bar in Finland

Tommyknocker Brewery (Idaho Springs, CO) has partnered with Finnish investor group Captol Invest to launch The Tommyknocker Craft Beer Bar in Helsinki, Finland. The grand opening was in March.

“It’s fun for a little Idaho Springs brewery to do something global,” said Indrehus. “I think part of the draw for them is our distinctive Colorado mountain town image and drinkable American-style products.”

The project was started more than two years ago, when Tommyknocker and Capital Invest began putting together a business model. The first weeks after opening have been so successful that another location is being discussed. Potentially one on a cruise ship.

Jack’s Abby Expands to Rhode Island

Jack’s Abby Brewing (Framingham, MA) is extending their distribution to Rhode Island. The brewery has signed a distribution agreement with Atlantic Importing Company. Atlantic is a new venture of Atlantic Importing based in Massachusetts.

“Our fans in Rhode Island have requested our beer for a while now, and we’re happy to deliver,” said Sam Hendler, Co-Owner, Sales, “We couldn’t be more excited to get out lagers into the state in time for the spring and summer seasons.”

Jack’s Abby’s year-round offerings head to The Ocean State, including Hoponius Union, Mass Rising, Leisure Time, Jabby Brau and Smoke & Dagger, and specialty offerings, like Sunny Ridge Pilsner. 

The first delivery is scheduled for April 21st.

Oskar Blues To Ship to Southern Louisiana in April

Oskar Blue Brewery (Longmont, CO & Brevard, NC) is launching the southern Louisiana market. The brewery has signed a distribution deal with Cresent Crown Distributing, who covers Lake Charles to New Orleans.

“The City That Care Forgot is about to get a big Mother FUH-CAN dose of OB. We are on a mission in 2015 and there is NO BETTA place in the world for that launch than NOLA. Whether you desire a can of Dale’s while stumbling around in the Quarter, sipping a Mama’s in the Garden District, or getting rolled in an alley behind AT2’s after one too many Deviant’s, OB is coming hard and correct to The Crescent City,” says Dale Katechis, CEO & Soul Founder of Oskar Blues Brewery.

The launch occurs throughout April, building up to the second week of the New Orleans Jazz Festival on April 27-May 1.

Residents can expect Dale’s Pale Ale, Pinner Throwback IPA, Mama’s Little Yella Pils, Old Chub Scotch Ale, Old Chub Nitro, G’Knight Imperial Red IPA, Deviant Dale’s IPA in cans and draft.

21st Amendment Available in Chicago in April

21st Amendment Brewery will start distributing to Chicago, Illinois starting April 1st, 2015.

Three year round offerings in both cans and draft will be available, including Back in Black IPA, Brew Free Or Die IPA, and Down to Earth, a session IPA. Seasonals will include Hell or High Watermelon Wheat, and Fireside Chat.

Recently, 21st Amendment completed a $21 million dollar brewery and capacity expansion.

Starr Hill Brewery Adds Alabama

Starr Hill Brewery (Charlottesville, VA) is expanding distribution to Alabama in April, 2015. The brewery has signed a distribution deal with Supreme Beverage.

Launch brands include Northern Lights IPA, Grateful Pale Ale and The Love Wheat Beer. King of Hop Imperial IPA of the All Access Series, Whiter Shade of Pale White IPA and Shakedown Imperial Chocolate Cherry Stout will follow shortly after.

Epic Brewing Adds More Texas Distribution

Epic Brewing Company (Salt Lake City, UT) is annoying further distribution into Texas. The brewery has partnered with Faust Distributing Company who will be covering the Houston area.

“Our Denver brewery recently finished a large cellar expansion” said National Sales Manager Michael Malachowski, “and with the increased capacity we can widen our presence in Texas. The craft beer community in Houston has been asking for us since we launched last August and it’s finally time to answer their call.”

Epic is hosting event in the Houston, Texas area the week of March 10th.
