Bell’s Brewery to Distribute to Southern California

Bell’s Brewery (Comstock, MI) will add distribution to Southern California in February, 2015. The brewery has signed a partnership with Craft Brewer’s Guild of Los Angeles.

Initially, Bell’s beer will be available in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura, Imperial and San Diego counties.

“We are constantly addressing capacity constraints and building on last May’s initial launch in San Diego, along with growth at our Comstock Brewery, we are able to gradually increase distribution,” said Laura Bell, Bell’s Vice President.

Expect launch events the week of February 23rd, 2014. Launch beers will be each of the brands according to their release schedules.

Oberon will be year round in Southern California.

SweetWater Adding Chicago [UPDATED]

SweetWater Brewing Company (Atlanta, GA) is expanding distribution to Chicago, Illinois in April, 2015. This is the northern-most distribution point to date. SweetWater has signed a distribution deal with Lakeshore Beverage.

“Coming on the heels of the fantastic launch for SweetWater in Ohio, we set our sights west to Chicago as this city rivals any in the country for its craft beer scene,” said Jeff Chassner, Director of New Market Business Development at SweetWater Brewing Company.

SweetWater IPA, 420 Extra Pale Ale, and Blue will be among the initial offerings in 12oz bottles, draft and cans. (Schedule may vary.)

By mid-year 2015, the brewery will be distributing to 16 states.

Boulevard Brewing Adds Ohio

Boulevard Brewing (Kansas City, MO) has added the state of Ohio to their distribution network. The brewery has partnered with Cavalier Distributing.

“Ohio is a great beer market,” said Steve Mills, Boulevard’s vice president of sales. “With the ongoing expansion of our brewery, it’s time for us to get off the sidelines and into the game. We’re excited to partner with Cavalier Distributing to bring more variety and excitement to Ohio craft beer lovers.”

Starting in January, residents of the Buckeye State can expect Pop-Up I.P.A, 80-Acre Hoppy Wheat, and Unfiltered Wheat. Additionally, year round Smokestack offerings like Tank 7 will be available.

  • Vieille (Barrel-Aged Brett Saison)
  • Surette (Barrel-Aged Saison brewed with harvest grains)
  • Surette Autumn (Brett-fermented Barrel-Aged Amber Saison with Squash,Nutmeg, Allspice, Cinnamon, and Anise)
  • St. Bretta Autumn (Brett-fermented Witbier brewed with Citrus)

These initial four offerings will be available in 375ml bottles. Savannah expects to pick up more offerings in 2015.

Crooked Stave is based in Denver, Colorado, focusing on American wild & sour ales, and barrel aged beer.

Maui Stone Craft Beverages Bring 21 Breweries to Maui

Maui | Stone Craft Beverages will bring 21 craft brands to the island of Maui.

The distribution company was formed by Maui Brewing Co. and Stone Brewing Co. The company’s focus is on beer freshness, and attention to detail. All offerings in the 21 brands will be refrigerated the entire way.

Oskar Blues Adds Missouri Distribution

Oskar Blues Brewing (Longmont, CO/Brevard, NC) is launching distribution in Missouri. The brewery has signed a distribution deal with Major Brands to bring the entire lineup to the state.

The lineup includes: Dale’s Pale Ale, Mama’s Little Yella Pils, available in 12oz cans, and the CANundrum Variety Pack. Dale’s and Mama’s will also be available in the 19.2oz stovepipe cans. Old Chub Nitro, is available in 16.4-ounce four-packs.

In addition, “The Imperials” – Deviant Dale’s IPA and G’Knight Red IPA, will be sold in 16-ounce four-packs. Fall/winter Seasonal, Ten FIDY, and spring/summer Seasonal, GUBNA, will also be available in 12-ounce four-packs.

Oskar Blues distributes to 36 states, plus Washington D.C.
