New Belgium Adds Kentucky

New Belgium Brewing (Ft. Collins, CO) will be begin distributing in Kentucky on March 2nd, 2015.

New Belgium will offer Fat Tire, along with year-round releases Ranger IPA, Slow Ride Session IPA and Snapshot Wheat on draft and in 12-ounce bottles.

Seasonal offerings, including Rampant Imperial IPA, Trippel Belgian-Style Ale and variety packs will also be available in 12-ounce packages.

“We’ve been eyeing Kentucky for quite a while, so it’s exciting to officially open up the state,” said New Belgium Brewing’s Sales Co-Pilot, Brian Krueger. “The glory of college basketball is upon us and the Derby isn’t too far off, so we’re arriving at a pretty fun time in the state.”

Boulevard Brewing Launching in New York City

Boulevard Brewing Company (Kansas City, MO) is launching distribution in New York City. The brewery has signed agreements with Union Beer Distributors and Craft Brewers Guild of New York.

“New York City has been on our minds for some time,” said Steve Mills, Boulevard’s vice president of sales. “But we had to wait until we could do it right, to wait until we had the capacity and the right partners in place to support this important market. We’re really excited, and look forward to being part of the area’s happening beer scene.”

Boulevard hits taps in the Big Apple starting March 2nd.  Expect Tank 7 Farmhouse Ale, The Sixth Glass, Dark Truth Stout, Long Strange Tripel and The Calling IPA along with some Smokestack Series offerings. 80-Acre Hoppy Wheat Beer and Pop-Up IPA will arrive by summer.

Jack’s Abby Expands to Eastern Pennsylvania

Jack’s Abby Brewing (Framingham, MA) is expanding their distribution to eastern Pennsylvania. The brewery has signed a distribution deal with Shangy’s.

The brewery’s year-round offerings (Hoponius Union, Mass Rising, Leisure Time, Jabby Brau and Smoke & Dagger), and seasonal and specialty brews including Framinghammer, Saxonator and Calyptra starting in April, 2015.

“We are extremely excited to partner with Shangy’s and expand into the Pennsylvania market,” said Sam Hendler, co-Owner and Head of Sales, “We believe Pennsylvania beer drinkers will be intrigued and pleased by our unique offering of craft lagers.”

Jack’s Abbey is currently available in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and parts of Vermont.

Coronado Brewing Adds Illinois Distribution

Starr Hill Expands Distribution to Knoxville, Tennessee

Starr Hill Brewery (Charlottesville, VA) is expanding distribution to Knoxville, Tennessee this month. The brewery has signed a distribution deal with Eagle Distributing Company.

First up to ship is Northern Lights IPA, and Grateful Pale Ale. Additionally, drinkers can expect the new spring release, Reviver Red IPA, and limited releases from the All Access Series like Little Red Roostarr Coffee Cream Stout, and Shakedown Imperial Chocolate Cherry Stout throughout the year, depending on the brew schedule.

“Based on Starr Hill’s success in Central and Eastern Tennessee, we’re focused on satisfying the customers’ growing demand for quality craft beer in Knoxville,” said Brian McNelis, Starr Hill’s President and CEO. “We’re also encouraged to see the Volunteer State move on legislation that creates a more favorable climate in which craft breweries can prosper.”

SweetWater Expands Distribution To Texas & Maryland

SweetWater Brewing Company (Atlanta, GA) will expand distribution to Texas and Maryland. The brewery will be shipping the lineup to both states starting in February.

SweetWater has signed distribution deals in Maryland with Kelly Distributing covering Easton, MD; Wantz Distributing covering Frederick, MD; Guy Distributing covering Leonardtown, MD; Mitchell Beverages covering Baltimore and Annapolis, MD; Bob Hall Distributing covering College Park, MD; andEastern Shore Distributing covering Salisbury, MD.

SweetWater in Texas will be covered by Silver Eagle Distributing for Houston and San Antonio metro area markets in Texas.

“Tapping into these great states is huge for us,” said SweetWater Founder and Big Kahuna, Freddy Bensch. “Kicking off 2015 by spreading out both north and the west with some tremendous distributor partners is amazing.  Just a few years back we were doing everything we could to keep the beer flowing in our backyard, but now we are more than ready to bring our brews downstream. SweetWater turns 18 in February, and will debut a special Belgian-style tripel for the occasion. Later this year, the brewery will debut it’s first sour beer, new canned offerings, and more distribution markets.
