Troegs Wild Elf On the Horizon

Troegs Brewing Co. is teasing a new offering in their coveted “Elf” series this week. Here in July, the brewery has already released Naked Elf, the base beer for October’s release – Mad Elf once again. Troegs Mad Elf is a Belgian-style strong ale is brewed with honey, and cherries.

Troegs Wild Elf is coming soon. A wild/sour edition of the perennial favorite, aged in the brewery’s wood foeders.

Enter the #foeder! These sour cherries are about to join the party inside the wood. #WildElf

No mention of Troegs Wild Elf release. Our best guess is that it will arrive near the October – December range, close to Mad Elf’s return.

Troegs Perpetual IPA to Get Artwork Upgrade

Troegs Perpetual IPA, one of the brewery’s first canned offerings, is getting an artwork overhaul this year.

When first released a few years ago, Troegs Perpetual IPA was met with instant popularity. This prompted it to be upgraded to year round status.

At Troegs, artisanal meets mechanical in a state of IPA we call Perpetual. Cycling through our HopBack vessel and dry-hopping method, this bold Imperial Pale Ale emerges rife with sticky citrus rind, pine balm and tropical fruit.

The brewery has not yet announced when the new artwork will grace the lineup. Troegs Troegenator Dopplebock will also see new, sexy branding.

Troegs Troegenator To Get Sexy New Artwork

Troegs Troegenator looks to be getting a sexy artwork overhaul. The year round offering should see new art for both 16 ounce cans and 12 ounce bottles.

Monks and Fasting figured out. No food? No problem. Just drink a Double Bock. Thick and chewy with intense notes of caramel, chocolate and dried stone fruit, ‘Nator (as we call him) serves as a tribute to this liquid bread style.

Troegs Troegenator is already a part of the brewery’s year round lineup. The brewery has not yet announced this artwork change.

Troegs, Appalachian & Pizza Boy Brewing Create (717) Collaboration Ale

For the first time ever, Troegs Brewing Company, Appalachian Brewing Company, and Pizza Boy Brewing Company are collaborating to create a one-of-a-kind limited-release beer. (717) Collaboration Ale is being brewed for the inaugural Harrisburg Beer Week running April 24 – May 2 2015.

This beer represents a joint endeavor between the three breweries combining a variety of styles to create dry-hopped characteristics of an IPA with the sweetness of the local honey, local malts from Deer Creek Malts,  saison yeast, and a hint of tartness to deliver a vibrant aroma and bone dry finish.

“We’re excited to be an integral part of the first Harrisburg Beer Week, “ said Chris Trogner. “Harrisburg will always be a part of who we are. Beer Week not only celebrates our roots but also looks to the future as we welcome new breweries and enjoy continued success of the craft beer industry in Central PA”

All three breweries will tap (717) Collaboration Ale on April 27th.

Troegs will also be canning this offering in 16oz 4-packs distributed only within the 717 area code starting 4/27/2015. A portion of the proceeds from sales will benefit Harrisburg River Rescue, the beneficiary of Harrisburg Beer Week.

“This beer is as much about the act of brewing the beer as it is about drinking it,” said John Trogner. “It’s about sharing stories and ideas with each other and our desire to explore our collective curiosities.”

(717) Collaboration Ale will tap for the first time at the kickoff event at The Abbey Bar at Appalachian Brewing Company on April 24th.

Troegs Sunshine Pils Cans Return in Early April

For a second year, Troegs Sunshine Pils cans will hit shelves. A crushable, warm weather beer.

The sun’s role dominates the Hop Cycle as vines grow before the human eye and budding hop cones reach maturity beneath the sun’s rays. Sunshine Pils combines the refreshing snap of a Euro-style Pilsner with an assertive hop character. Crisp. Hoppy. Pilsner.

Troegs Sunshine Pils cans return in early April, alongside 12oz bottles, and draft. Distribution starts with Central PA, expanding to the brewery’s other markets shortly after.

Troegs Cultivator Cans Hits Shelves for First Time

Troegs Brewing (Hershey, PA) releases Cultivator, the brewery’s spring seasonal, is now available in cans for the first time.

The helles bock (spring bock) launched just a year ago into the brewery’s seasonal lineup. As the nation waits for spring, those in Troegs distribution territory can slam Cultivator in cans.

Emerging from springtime’s fertile ground, Cultivator celebrates the start of hop-growing season as sprawling fields of hop rhizomes climb and tether to hop bines. This spring bock delivers hints of toasted grains, fresh baked bread and delicate floral hops.

Troegs Cultivator Helles Bock cans are now available across the entire brewery distribution footprint, which now includes North Carolina.

Troegs Nugget Nectar Coming to 16oz Cans, 2015 Dates Announced

Troegs Brewing (Hershey, PA) will release Nugget Nectar in 16oz cans in January, 2015. The hoppy red ale has never been canned before. The brewery has announced dates for this fan favorite. Draft and bottle hit Central Pennsylvania on January 12th, 2015. Cans are expect on January 19th. Use this as a timeline for when you receive Nugget Nectar in your market.

With a heady collection of American hops, Nugget Nectar will rekindle your romance with reighe intense pucker your palate has come to expect from this bold Imperial Amber Ale. Drenched with a healthy dose of the freshest hops we’re able to source, Nugget Nectar is further intensified with additional whole flower Nugget cones added to our hopback vessel. Troegs Nugget Nectar shipped around the first week of January last time it was released.
