The good for drinking, good for the river beer will make a second run at your glass.  Waterkeeper is brewed to raise awareness for the Waterkeeper Alliance.  The brewery has been a major contributor to the campaigns.   The water the SweetWater’s beers comes from the Chattahoochee River.

Hops: Sterling & Hallertau
Malts: 50% Wheat, 50% 2 Row Malt
Availability: 220z bombers, draft.

…a flame throwin’ Rye IPA ignited by a 25% shot of rye malt capped by a super hoppin’ blast of Mt Hood and Centennial hops making this IPA bounce!  

You’ll see LowRYEder arrive in June on draft and in the Tackle Box mixed packs, followed by 12oz/6 packs in July.

SweetWater’s Expansion Ribbon Cutting [Video]

SweetWater Brewing Company (Atlanta, GA) signalled the completion of Phase I of the their 3 Part expansion this week.  Georgia Governor Nathan Deal, Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed & more were on hand for the ceremony.  Phase II is already underway.  When complete, the brewery will be able to extend their distribution reach deeper into Florida, Tennessee and Virginia.  Video via @LordsOfSapelo

SweetWater Unveils Part 1 Of Expansion With Governor & Atlanta Mayor

Today SweetWater Brewing unveiled part 1 of a 3 part expansion with Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal  and Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed.   The overall expansion will bring the brewery’s capacity to nearly 500,000 barrels.

Its brewing capacity to nearly 500,000 barrels per year. Throughout its year-round construction, the expansion project created more than 400 jobs and infused an estimated $19 million into the regional economy during a time of economic downturn.  Phase two and three will be completed by early this fall and will include installation of 14 new 1,000-barrel fermentation tanks and a new 250-barrel brew house.

The Ottley Drive location started at 26,000 feet and by the time all three phases are completed – will exceed 100,000 square feet.  The new building is home to an expanded bottling and packaging hall, keg line, quality assurance lab, machine shop, corporate office space, conference rooms, tasting area, a roof top deck and 4,800-square-feet of additional public events space. SweetWater’s Road Trip 2012 Arrives

SweetWater Brewing Company announced today the return of  Road Trip, the brewery’s spring/summer pilsner.  Road Trip is a part of the Catch & Release seasonal lineup.

A pilsner fits spring time, especially in the south.  (Dude, it’s freaking hot.)  Road Trip is made with a blend of European and American hops, and malts.  The twist? Road Trip is fermented at warmer temperatures, enhancing the flavor.

Style: Pilsner
Hops: Cascade, Sterling, US Golding
Malts: Pilsner, Vienna Malt

Availability: 12 oz bottles, Draft. March – May

5.2% ABV
