Quick Look at Stone’s Airport Spot

Fans of Stone Brewing Co (Escondido, CA),  the next time you fly into San Diego’s airport you have this bar to look forward to.

The brewery now has two spots (Terminal 2 East, and Terminal 2 West) in the airport that will feature some of Stone’s year round offerings, seasonals, and potentially even an “airport only” release.

The food menu will be designed with great care by founders Steve Wagner and Greg Koch, with dishes mimicking those from the Stone World Bistro and Gardens in Escondido. Plane delays don’t seem so bad now do they? The pic below comes courtesy of Mitch Steele.

Stone’s German Influenced Anniversary Beer Released [VIDEO]

Stone 17th Anniversary Götterdämmerung IPA officially releases today. This German influenced brew features malts and hops you’d usually see in German pilsners.

Don’t be surprised, Stone 17th is an imperial IPA (the brewery loves this style) but with a little hop twist. Stone brews with truckloads of American and New Zealand hops for their mainstay IPAs. 17th’s German hops give the brew a more herbal, spicy and peppery flavor.  What’s in a name? Götterdämmerung means a “disastourus conclusion of events.” For Stone, it means this is about as much as they know on using German hops.

Look for this new imperial IPA in 22oz bottles and draft for a limited time.

Style: Imperial IPA
Availability: 22oz bombers, Draft
Distribution: AK, AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MT, NC, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, VA, VT, and WA

9.5% ABV, 102 IBUs

Stone Brewing Takes Aim at Alabama

Stone Alabama

Stone Brewing Co (Escondido, CA) is taking aim at Alabama. How do we know? Facebook of course. If you’re in Alabama, I would like this page.

Alabama has resolved some issues that would have prevented the brewery from successfully selling in the state, including an ABV cap, 22oz bomber sale ban, and disallowing the word “bastard” on beer labels. The brewery’s PR will soon have launch details.
