Stone Enjoy By 3.14.15 Celebrates Pi Day

There is currently a Stone Enjoy By 2.14.15 on shelves. It looks like there is another offering to launch right after – Stone Enjoy By 3.14.15.

It’s no accident that the brewery chose this date – National Pi Day, because this year the date completes two more digits of the Pi calculation, 3.14.15 (Pi= 3.14159265359)

The distribution area for Stone Enjoy By 3.14.15 has not been announced yet.

Stone Brewing Pokes Fun at The Weeks Legal Drama

Can we call laugh at it now? I know it hasn’t been a week.

Stone Brewing Co. pokes a little fun at this week’s drama with a never-to-be released IPA, Sosumi IPA.

If you for some reason have no idea what I’m talking about, Lagunitas vs. Sierra Nevada. It got a little heated.

Baird/Ishii/Stone Japanese Green Tea IPA Returns

Back by popular demand is Baird/Ishii/Stone Japanese Green Tea IPA. The collaboration first debuted back in 2011.

The collaboration spans three countries, and Baird is based in Japan, Ishii Brewing in Guam, and Stone Brewing Co. in California. The trio created an IPA brewed with Japanese Sencha Green Tea, plus five different hops. Japanese Green Tea IPA actually was brewed in response to the 2011 Japan earthquake and Tsunami. It raised $64,000 toward relief efforts.

“This beer was beloved when it was first released, but due to the hop availabilities and creative nature of collaborations, we decided to swap out the original beer’s now very rare Pacifica hops from New Zealand for Helga hops from Australia,” explains Steele. “We brewed exactly the same recipe, targeting the same original gravity; however, since we’ve improved our brewing and fermentation processes, the alcohol by volume rose from 9.2 percent to 10.1 percent. The result is a heftier beer that perfectly highlights the earthy spice flavors that the Japanese green tea provides.”

Baird/Ishii/Stone Japanese Green Tea IPA is available again in 22oz bottles and draft.

Style: Imperial IPA (w/ Green Tea)
Availability: 22oz Bottles, Draft.

Distribution: AK, AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, DE, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MT, NC, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, VA, VT, WA and Puerto Rico
International Distribution: Alberta and British Columbia, Canada; United Kingdom; Japan; and Singapore.

Stone Enjoy By 2.14.15 Ready

Stone Brewing Co.’s next Enjoy By IPA 02.14.15 (Valentine’s Day) has a pretty wide distribution. The imperial IPA is meant to be shipped, bought, and consumed by the date on the bottle. For each release the beer is the same, but distribution varies.

You have in your hands a devastatingly desirable double IPA. While freshness is a key component of many beers – especially big, citrusy, floral IPAs – we’ve taken it further, a lot further, in this IPA. You see, we specifically brewed it NOT to last. We’ve not only gone to extensive lengths to ensure that you’re getting this beer in your hands within an extraordinarily short window, we made sure that the Enjoy By date isn’t randomly etched in tiny text somewhere on the label, to be overlooked by all but the most attentive of retailers and consumers. Instead, we’ve sent a clear message with the name of the beer itself that there is no better time than right now to enjoy this IPA.

Stone Enjoy By IPA 02.14.15 is being bottled on 1/9/15 and hits the markets below as soon as possible. The IPA is brewed year round, but markets vary each release.

Style: Imperial IPA
Hops: Calypso, Super Galena, Simcoe, Delta, Target, Amarillo, Motueka, Citra, Cascade, New Zealand Nelson Sauvin, and Australian Galaxy

Availability: 22oz Bottles and Draft.
Markets: AL, AK, AZ, CA, CO, DE, FL, GA, ID, IA, IN, KA, KY, PA, RI, OH, ME, MD, MA, MI, MN, MT, NH, NE, NJ, NM, NY, OR, NV, TN, SC, VT, WA

Stone Delicious IPA, Ready to Ship

Stone Brewing Co. (Escondido, CA) has a new hoppy offering, Delicious IPA to kick off 2015. For this new release, Stone crafted a citrusy IPA that is lower in gluten.

Stone co-founder Greg Koch made it a mission of the brewery to create an IPA worthy of the Stone Delicious IPA name. Additionally, Stone uses a new enzyme from White Labs called Clarity-Ferm, that breaks down gluten protein chains. The result is a beer that meets the FDA’s gluten-reduced classification. (Under 20 milligrams of gluten per liter.)

From the beginning, Stone has been obsessed with the mission of providing people access to bold, high–quality craft beer. After all, great beer is for everyone and anyone with the good taste to recognize it, not just a niche group like us uber beer geeks. So, when we developed this pleasantly bitter, deliciously citrusy, hop-driven IPA, we took it as an opportunity to go a step further and do something we’ve spent over a year researching and perfecting: creating a beer that makes it possible for nearly everyone to experience our aggressive, no–holds-barred approach to craft brewing. It’s a flavorful, cutting–edge, modern–day IPA for everyone. Lemondrop & El Dorado hops provide plenty of fruity citrus character in a burst of hop zing that sings on the palate. We’re proud to present it to those who already know us for IPA prowess and to those who, so far, have only heard the legends.

The addition of the Clarity-Ferm enzyme is added to fermentation and does not change the color or flavor of the beer. Stone Delicious IPA launches in January in 12oz bottles, and draft.

Style: IPA
Hops: El Dorado, Lemondrop
Availability: 12oz Bottles, Draft. Limited.
Distribution: AK, AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, DE, FL, GA, HI, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MT, NC, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, VA, VT, WA, Puerto Rico.

7.7% ABV

Note: This beer is still derived from barley, which contains gluten. Due to uncontrolled draft lines, the presence of gluten will vary.
