Coming soon to Monday Night Brewing’s (Atlanta, GA) 12oz bottle lineup is this nerdy beer, Nerd Alert Pseudo Pilsner. Pseudo? The Monday Night brew crew describes this a pilsner-y ale. Read on and get nerdy.

Technically speaking, Nerd Alert is an ale. And if you want to get reeealIlly technical, we fermented this beer with ale yeast at low temperatures to achieve an incredibly clean flavor. However, if you bring up this knowledge in normal circles, you will, in fact, be labeled a nerd. So just enjoy the straw-blond appearance (Like the hair of the girl the nerd could never get) and the crisp, safe essence (like the nerd’s comic book room).

Nerd Alert will join Drafty Kit, Eye Patch IPA,  and FuMan Brew in 12oz bottles.

Style: Pilsner
Hops: Hallertau, Willamette
Malts: Munich, Pilsner

Monday Night To Age in Wine Barrels [UPDATED]

Coming hot off the release of Monday Night Brewing’s (Atlanta) first barrel aged release Bourbon Barrel Aged Drafty Kilt, is a hint at the future.

The brewery recently received a shipment of wine barrels to age a “yet to be named” beer destined for the Black Tie Series.

When the beer is ready, Beer Street Journal will have a video with brewery co-founder Jonathan Baker.

Monday Night Releases First Barrel Aged Offering [VIDEO]

Monday Night Brewing’s Black Tie Series grows with the addition of Bourbon Barrel Drafty Kilt. This second series release follows Hipster Hop Harvest Ale, and is the brewery’s first barrel aged release.

The brewery took their year round scotch ale Drafty Kilt and aged it in fresh Heaven Hill bourbon barrels. The resulting brew is full of caramel, a hint of smoke, with lots of vanilla bourbon flavor.

Monday Night Bourbon Barrel Drafty Kilt is available in 22oz bottles and draft for a limited time.

Monday Night Bourbon Barrel Drafty Kilt Headed to Bottles

A few months ago, Beer Street Journal did a teaser of the barrel aging program at Monday Night Brewing (Atlanta, GA).

A little something to salivate over this Monday morning, the first barrel aged offering is ready to go.  Jonathan Baker and crew at the brewery aged their year round offering Drafty Kilt in bourbon barrels, for the past few months and have officially gotten the brew ready for kegging.

Monday Night Bourbon Drafty Kilt will soon be available on draft and 22oz bottles. This is the second release in their Black Tie Series.

Monday Night’s Mix Pack Features New Offering

Monday Night Brewing (Atlanta) has released their first sampler pack in their young history. A Case of the Mondays is more than meets the eye.  With this release… a new beer.

Serrano Eye Patch Ale, an IPA brewed with peppers only found on draft, is officially in 12oz bottles. Each case comes with three each of Fu Manbrew, Eye Patch Ale, and Drafty Kilt. Serrano Eye Patch Ale makes 12 beers for your craft drinking pleasure.

You can wrap this bad boy and put it under the tree too. Just saying…

Monday Night’s Blind Pirate Could See 12oz Bottles

This comes as no surprise. Monday Night Brewing’s (Atlanta, GA) imperial IPA, Blind Pirate, could transition to 12oz bottles in the near future.

This hoppy offering from two year old brewery was an instant hit, selling out on draft and in 22oz bombers as fast as it arrived.

When Blind Pirate arrives in the smaller bottles, it will be the brewery’s forth 12oz offering since they started bottling this year.  Brewery co-founder Jonathan Baker describes Blind Pirate below.

Beer Street Journal Video: Monday Night Releases Hipster Harvest

Monday Night Brewing (Atlanta) officially launches their newest release Hipster Fresh Hop Harvest Ale.

Harvest is first and foremost and amber ale, brewed with fresh chinook hops that went from vine to kettle in 24 hours. This fresh offering is the first in a series of one-off releases dubbed the Black Tie Series. You’ll see more unique experiments in this series in the future.
