Intuition Needs Second Digs To Keep Up with Can Demand

A good spot to be in.  Intuition Ale Works is searching for a placeto build a second brewery.  Why? Their demand for cans is causing a big strain on production.  In early 2012, the brewery intro’d People’s Pale Ale, I-10 IPA, and Jon Boat Coastal Ale.  The cans are a hit.  The new location will essentially be a “cannery” for the lineup.  [Examiner]

Intuition Ale Works First In Florida To Can

Intuition Ale Works will begin selling cans of People’s Pale Ale this weekend, making them the first Florida brewery to do so.  I-10 IPA and Jon Boat Coastal Ale will join the canning line later next month.  All three cans will be available mid-March at Jacksonville retail locations and in St. Augustine and Fernandina later this year.

Owner/brewer Ben Davis said this of canning their beers:

“Cans preserve the quality of beer better than bottles because they are airtight and keep out light. They are also better suited to the Florida climate and lifestyle as they cool down more quickly and are better for taking on a boat, a golf course or the pool since you don’t have to worry about broken glass.”

More cans coming out of Florida soon.  Intuition Ale Works is based in Jacksonville, Florida, and is about to celebrate their first birthday.  My friends over at CraftCans.com have just broken the news that Intuition will start canning soon. They have purchased a CASK 5 head canner, and will launch Peoples Pale Ale, I-10 IPA and Jon Boat Ale.  Be sure to check out the whole interview.

Arrival: January, 2012
