Boulevard “Reboots” A Past Smokestack Release

Boulevard Reboot White IPA

Boulevard Brewing Company (Kansas City, MO) is literally rebooting a past release from the Smokestack Series again. The first time this beer was made, it was an Oregon/Missouri mashup with Deschutes Brewing. The beer was so good, it needed a reboot.

This re-release of our 2011 Collababoration Series No 2 White IPA brings back the unique marriage of a classic Belgian-Style witbier to an American IPA. Version 2.0 has upgraded its spicy aroma, with hints of bubblegum and clove. Bold flavors will launch upon uncorking, as sage and lemongrass balance the tangy, zesty wheat malt profile. Of course we recommend keeping at least two backups in the fridge. Press start to repeat.

Boulevard’s Session IPA Hits This Week

Boulevard Pop-Up IPA

Boulevard Brewing Company (Kansas City, MO) is releasing Pop-Up Session IPA this week. This isn’t just any IPA either. This offering is meant to be a sessionable offering at a mere 4.2% ABV. Think of it as the lighter hearted sibling of  Single-Wide & Double-Wide brews, with a fruity hop heart. You’ll see this year round in 12oz bottles and draft.

Boulevard Pop-Up Session I.P.A. joins its big brothers Single-Wide and Double-Wide in our trailer park of hop-centric beers. This “session” model is built for frequent excursions, with a very drinkable character and relatively low bitterness tucked behind a big, fruity hop aroma

Boulevard Launches “Sample Twelve”

Boulevard Sample Twelve

Boulevard Brewing Company (Kansas City, MO) is launching a new 12 pack sampler dubbed Sample Twelve. This is a new spin on the sampler idea, as Boulevard wants to bring the tasting room experience to the consumers in other markets. Now you don’t have to live near KC to sample what the brewery is working on.

The first round will of course contain 12 brews. (3) Unfiltered Wheat, (3) 80 Acre Hoppy Wheat, plus 2 more offerings never before offered outside of the tasting room – Westside Rye, and Mid-Coast IPA. Edition #2 will arrive in 2014 featuring new offerings.

Look for the new Sample Twelve in Boulevard markets this month.

Boulevard’s Low Alcohol IPA Is Coming

Boulevard Pop-Up IPA

Boulevard Brewing Company is adding a new IPA to their core lineup -Pop-Up Session IPA. The hoppy brew joins Single-Wide and Double Wide IPAs. This offering is following a new trend in craft beer – lower alcohol. Pop-Up is just 4.2% ABV.

“I’ve been challenging our brewers to experiment with full-flavored, lower alcohol beers for quite some time,” said John McDonald, Boulevard founder and president. “It is important to me that Boulevard has balanced offerings that beer fans can enjoy for any occasion. Pop-Up I.P.A. has become a staple in my refrigerator ever since the first test batches were produced.”

Look for Pop-Up Session India Pale Ale will hit Boulevard Brewing Co’s distribution network in August.

Boulevard Mid-Coast IPA Coming to Sampler

Boulevard Brewing Co (Kansas City) is going to be bottling a couple of Tasting Room offerings in a new sampler pack to come late summer. The “Sample Twelve” mix pack will have three bottles of two experimental brews that prior to now were only found in the Tasting Room in KC. Westside Rye Ale, and the above Mid-Coast IPA will be first in this mixer. Mid-Coast is a hoppy and very bitter ale, coming at over 100 international bitterness units. (That’s a lot BTW.)

Soon you’ll be able to taste these and give your  feed back to the brewery.

Boulevard Bottling Tasting Room Offering

Boulevard Brewing Co (Kansas City) is gearing up to release a few offerings from their tasting room experiments in bottles for a mix pack due late summer. The idea is to give Boulevard drinkers outside of KC the opportunity to try some of the brewery’s experiments.

Among the first to hit bottles is Westside Rye Ale, a rye based beer dubbed  “a sessionable beer with a slightly spicy character.”  You’ll find three of these in each sample pack.
