A French study just published results indicated that some sodas, namely ones by Coke and Pepsi contain minute traces of alcohol. Paris based National Institute of Consumption states that a liter of the sodas can have up to 10 mg of alcohol or 0.001% ABV.
That’s harmless even to a small child but for those who self impose a no alcohol policy, or have religious objections to it, it could cause problems. Why is there alcohol in these sodas? Apparently an offset from the ingredients used make them. To be clear, alcohol is not in either recipe for Coca-Cola or Pepsi. Fruits used in the creation of the beverage could naturally ferment, creating the tiny alcohol presence. [MailOnline]
AB InBev Acquires The Rest Of Modelo For $20 Billion
Anheuser-Busch InBev NV has officially agreed to buy the remaining portion of Grupo Modelo SAB for a whopping $20.1 billion in cash. The world’s biggest brewer now has full control over the makers of Corona.
Modelo shares were purchased by AB-InBev for $9.15 a share. With the acquisition, the combined profits expect to exceed $47 billion annually.
Also, Constellation Brands Inc. (STZ) has agreed to purchase Modelo’s stake in their U.S. joint venture with Crown Imports LLC. That leaves Constellation with full distribution control of the Modelo Brands.

No Stone Smoked Porter Bottle Variations For Georgia
Much like it has been for Stone Brewing Co’s collaboration series, the new variants of Stone Smoked Porter. This month, the brewery released to different versions of the popular porter, one with vanilla beans, and one with chipotle peppers. The 12 oz bottles are currently slated as a one time release. There is some consolation though, the vanilla bean version has found it’s way into the state.
