A special congratulations is in order for SweetWater’s Big Kahuna himself Freddy Bensch. Today he was named one of Georgia’s most influential people. That puts the brewery founder among some of Georgia’s elite people – like Arthur Blank (Owner, Atlanta Falcons) US Senator Saxby Chambliss, Frank Blake (CEO/Chairman of Home Depot), John Brock (CEO, Coca-Cola) & more. It’s quite an honor.

We can’t wait to share the news with his mom, she’ll be thrilled at what a fine young man her son has turned into. 15 year’s of heady beers for sure, and (allegedly) influencing folks all along the way!! Wait till they get a load of us at the official party next week!
Side note, the solar array as mentioned is still in the works by the brewery. Just Google Solyndra and you can see how THAT turned out. SweetWater turns 15 next month, and will be celebrating in style of course. [SweetWater]
