Sam Adams Small Batch Alpine Lager

Samuel Adams Alpine Spring is yet another addition to the brewery’s Small Batch series.  For this entry, Sammy & Co used the more traditional labeling.  Starting in late October, you’ll see the first of the Small Batch hit the market – Tasman Red, Third Voyage, Griffin’s Bow, The Vixen. (Vixen just won GABF gold.)

This unfiltered lager is perfect for spring.  Noble Tettnang hops, grown in the foothills of the Alps, give the brew a bright citrus and floral aroma flavor.  These are balanced by the slightly sweet crisp notes of two-row pale and honey malts.  Cheers!

Style: American Lager
Hops: Tettnang
Malts: Honey, 2-Row Pale

Availability: 22oz bombers
Arrival: Spring, 2012

  1. An absolutely great tasting beer! We just got two cases at work (Trader Joe’s, Marietta GA) and I picked up 2 six packs when I got off. Already on number three and will definitely get more! Very smooth beer with no after taste. With the unseasonably warm weather here in the south, this beer really hit the spot and would be a great spring BBQ party beer. Another winner from SA.

  2. I can’t believe they replaced Noble Pils with this crap.  Noble Pils should be an everyday brew, available at all times of the year.
