Looking for a good beer way to start off your weekend? Go here. Tonight New Belgium Brewing takes over all the taps at The Porter Beer Bar. It will be the most “Lips of Faith” beers that have been in one place on tap in the southeast. Even more interesting, is that New Belgium’s most recent collaboration with Allagash Brewing is making its debut. It’s called “Vreinden” and is a very unique beer. The name Vreinden means “friends” in Flemish. New Belgium brewed at Allagash in Portland, ME and vice versa. Vreinden also boasts an interesting set of ingredients (which may differ with each brew): Elderberries and Dandelion Greens, Hibiscus flower.
The final tap lineup is as follows:
Fat Tire, Ranger IPA, Mothership Wit, 1554 and 2 Below from the mainstays.
Lips of Faith include: La Folie, Fall Wild ’09, Eric’s Ale, Sahti, Belgian Blonde & Vreinden!

Ok, by now you’ve seen Shmaltz Brewing’s Jewbelation gift pack. If you haven’t click here and catch up with the rest of the class. Back now? Ok. The pack featured Jewbelation 8-14 (the series started with 8 ) and one special beer, a blend of the 7 releases aged in Sazerac rye barrels for 6 months. (For that crazy 8th night!)

Debuting on tap handles today at Taco Mac’s around Atlanta – Red Brick Brewing’s “Long John Ale”. Formerly known as “Winter”. Taco Mac’s will exclusively tap this beer for a week, until it arrives in bottle and expanded draft late next week.
From Red Brick:
Red Brick Brewing’s newest beer for the winter season is a Belgian-style Dark Ale. It took several different malts from the United States and Belgium to get this beer to its hefty alcohol by volume (abv) of 8.2%. Chestnut brown in color with aromas of dark fruits and bananas rising from an alcohol laced head. A nice dried fruit and chocolate flavor makes it a wonderful winter beer. The beer will launched at the brewery on November 10th and bottles will be released in stores shortly thereafter.
Availability: 12oz/6 pks. Draft. Winter seasonal.
Dogfish Head – Chateau Jiahu. Herbed Beer, 10% ABV. This beer has an awesome story. Read up on it. Beer spotlight soon.
Bell’s – Sparkling Ale. Tripel, 9% ABV. Wildly popular seasonal tripel from Bell’s. Look for it back on shelves soon.
Taps flow Friday, 6 pm!
