New Holland Launches BarrelWorks Project Furniture Line [PICS]

New Holland Brewing Co. has launched a new product line, but you won’t be drinking it. The Michigan craft brewery has launched the BarrelWorks Project, using spent oak barrels from the brewhouse and spirits line.

New Holland team members Coop & Padre saw the growing inventory of used barrels, and saw an opportunity to up-cycle. The first creation is the collapsable folding beach chair.

“BarrelWorks Project was not a top down mandate. It came from New Holland employees, staying true to the artistic values that the company strives to cultivate in the team,” said co-owner and Vice President of Retail Operations, Dave White.

The folding chairs were just the beginning. From there, the project grew to include tables, clocks, skateboards, even a guitar stand. All BarrelWorks Project products are available through their website www.barrelworksproject.com or at the Downtown Holland pub (66 E. 8thStreet, Holland, MI)

AK-47 vs. Coors The Banquet Beer [VIDEO]

It’s amazing what you can find when you troll the internet. For those wondering what happens when you shoot a AK-47 at Coors cans, you are about to have your answer.

YouTube user MattV2099 does some weird stuff with guns and bullets. Need examples? He torture tests Glock handguns in peanut butter,  and jello to see if it will fire afterwards. He also put a bunch of .22 caliber rounds in a blender. If you swing over there, don’t miss the 600 round homemade Glock clip.

Then there is the video above…

Frozen Pints Teams with Terrapin For New Flavor

Atlanta based Frozen Pints (punny?) is on fire. The company makes ice cream with craft beer. I’m not talking about ice cream that just carries the flavor of beer. The final product is actually alcoholic.

Frozen Pints has done it again with a new seasonal release, Mint Chocolate Moo-Hoo. Teaming up with Terrapin Beer Co. in Athens, both now have tasty seasonals. Using Terrapin Moo-Hoo Chocolate Milk Stout, Frozen Pints added mint for a great twist to offset the namesake beer to pair it with.

If you are lucky (Atlanta and surrounding area) you’ll find this at a Frozen Pints establishment starting now. You’ve got to be 21+ to buy a pint. This dessert clocks in at 2.6% ABV.

Even more good news – founder Aly Moler tells me there are more seasonals in the works. Grab a spoon and don’t eat too fast.

Epic: Michael Jordan Plays Beer Pong

There are very few beer pong partners more epic than Michael Jordan.

The retired basketball legend was recently spotted playing beer pong at a Miami hotel. In typical fashion, MJ is decked out in an Air Jordan t-shirt, plus his signature shoes.

Rumor has it – Jordan lost. Even with the elbow foul seen above.
