SanTan Brewing Headed to Texas
SanTan Beer Company (Chandler, Arizona) is entering the Texas market in June. The brewery has partnered with Ben. E. Keith distributor.
Texas can expect Devil’s Ale, HopShock IPA, SunSpot Gold, Mr. Pineapple Wheat Beer, plus a variety pack.
SanTan was founded in 2007, and expects to brew 25,000 barrels (775,000 gallons) in 2014.
San Tan Brewing To Conquer Southwest
Cans, cans, cans. That’s the news these days. SweetWater Brewing is about to can, all can Upslope is expanding their distribution, West Sixth has a newbie coming too.
In the southwest (where warm weather never really goes away) SanTan Brewing (Chandler, AZ) is taking aim at the southwest, and soon the United States. Southern California will be drinking SanTan in March, followed by Texas in April. Up next? New Mexico, Colorado, and Nevada. This marks the first time that the brewery has distributed outside of Arizona.
I don’t know which is the bigger win, really. The larger availability of craft options in the southwest, or more craft beer in cans to drink in more places. Perhaps both in this case. San Tan Brewing’s core lineup includes Devil’s Ale, HefeWeizen Wheat, Sunspot Golden Ale, & more. Oh, and don’t forget about Sex Panther.

SanTan’s New Can: SuperMonk
SanTan Brewing Company (Chandler, AZ) is releasing a new fall seasonal in cans – SuperMonk Belgian IPA. American hops meet Belgian yeast in this blend of styles that is coming quite popular.
SuperMonk Belgian IPA is a slightly hazy Belgian IPA. The aroma lends notes of citrus and upon first sip; hoppy bitterness dances with slight peppery notes, then gives way to orange and fruit. Very drinkable and light on the palate. Ideal for craft beer lovers and “hopheads” alike!
Style: Belgian IPA

Malts: Pale Malt, Malted Wheat, Munich Malt, Vienna Malt

(60% of the time, it works everytime.)If you want to hear this kitty purr, you’ve had to find a tap handle with this formidable chocolate porter. (No, it doesn’t smell like gasoline.) San Tan wants to can this silky player, and why not? Everyone deserves something special. Sex Panther is a chocolate porter, brewed with cocoa and chocolate malt.
2012 Double Chocolate Porter is a late Winter Seasonal that is brewed with Colonial Rosewood Cocoa and large amounts of Chocolate malt giving this beer a huge chocolaty flavor combined with hints of truffle and molasses. Summit hops are used to balance the sweetness and White Wheat is added to give Sex Panther a smooth, creamy head that lasts all night! Perfectly paired with smoked meats and sweet treats.

SanTan is brewing Sex Panther Double Chocolate Porter today. As the brewery said, Sex Panther’s got a new groove. The beer was a barley wine but this year will be a double chocolate porter. They upped the ABV a bit and are brewing the new edition as we speak. If the barleywine was chocolately… just imagine what the double chocolate porter will be.
